In an effort to limit greenhouse gas emissions, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) voted this month to ban the sale of new off-road engines such as those found in leaf blowers, lawn mowers and other equipment by 2024. The ruling also bans portable generators by requiring new models to meet more stringent standards in 2024 and meet zero-emission standards starting in 2028.

“EGO........ the company exterminates the two cycle engine by providing 56 volt battery powered equipment that is in fact superior to that is replaced

No longer must I cuss the two cycle engine that refuses to start. No longer do I have to mix special gasoline that goes bad between seasons.

I have several of the EGO tools and am rlieved of the two cycle monsters”

Or you could have just purchased a 4-cycle string trimmer initially and NEVER would have had to deal with crappy 2-cycle units.

Stringent standards in 2024 and meet zero-emission standards starting in 2028.

Hydrogen fuel problem solved zero emissions.

I have a tractor, but it’s a diesel. I don’t bother with anything electric.

I believe Lowes and Home Depot stores in Reno, Yuma and Phoenix will be seeing significant increases in revenue in the near future.

License plate readers at their parking lots will pick up CA plates, and beam that info to the AG inspection stations, where their plate reader will rat you out for detailed colonoscopy.

Trying to get with the program I bought an electric leaf blower and an extra battery. The wind velocity it generates is half of my plug in one, and each fully charged battery lasts about 6 minutes making it almost useless.

Well, welcome to the present.

The EGO battery tools are fantastic and even superior to some having gasoline engines. I know........ I use them regularly and have put up with the vagaries of gasoline engines for +50 years. I am trained in gas engine maintenance.

I know the difference between two cycle and four cycle engines and have owned and used many over the years.

You have an anti electric bias that is totally unfounded. Believe me.

Everybody is now making electrics. The market is eliminating/replacing gas with electric/battery operation . My suggestion is try the EGO 56 volt and be wary of cheap. EGO is not only good but very good

Disclaimer: I am not associated with EHO other than ownership.

I have NO such thing.

I made NO aspersions to electric AT ALL.

My statement:

‘Or you could have just purchased a 4-cycle string trimmer initially and NEVER would have had to deal with crappy 2-cycle units.’

doesn’t even MENTION electric/electricity/ or electric string trimmers.

I stand by my statement.

(OH! Here’s a eye-opener for you - I have nine cordless electric tools)!

Well the faggot governor of California just killed off the entire home construction industry and the landscaping industry for sure.

Those guys absolutely depend on generators for what they do.
