Sen. Richard Blumenthal Helps Conn. Communist Party Celebrate 102nd Anniversary of CPUSA

Senator Richard Blumenthal(D-Conn.) said he was “excited and proud” to help the Connecticut Communist Party celebrate the 102nd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party USA over the weekend.

On Saturday, the Connecticut People’s World Committee (CPWC) presented its annual “Amistad Awards” to State Sen. Julie Kushner, D-Danbury, Pastor Rodney Wade of Waterbury and SEIU activist Azucena Santiago at a union hall in New Haven. (Video of the event here).

Blumenthal was the surprise guest to help celebrate the occasion, and share his appreciation of the awardees.

“I am really excited and honored to be with you today and share in this remarkable occasion,” Blumenthal gushed after he was introduced.

The awardees were “recognized for their commitment to organizing priorities that address racial equity, climate change, voting rights, and the common good,” said CPWC partners AFT Connecticut in a post about the awards. “They were also selected for fighting for the rights of essential—and all, regardless of immigrations status—workers during the pandemic.”

Blumenthal stipulated that while one doesn’t have “to agree with anyone and everyone” and every party, he was happy “to honor the great tradition of activism and standing up for individual workers that is represented by the three honorees here.”

The senator had a very high opinion of the three leftists receiving the Communist award.

“I’ve known and worked with all of them. They are extraordinary examples of courage, grace under pressure, ferocious fighting for the rights or working people, and for Democracy,” Blumenthal said.

It is “activism” if Communists do it, “insurrection” if American patriots do it.

Uh huh.

“to honor the great tradition of activism and standing up for individual workers”

In the great tradition of Mao, Stalin and Pol Pot. Nice “social justice” you have there.

He is (unfortunately) a US Senator from this state, and I have seen him up close and personal. One time I sat a row behind him on a flight from Bradley to DC and sat next to him at the airport waiting to depart.

He is a very creepy looking guy—like child molester creepy with a blank stare—seriously strange dude.

I have even less use for the LCD senator now. A Dollar store paper towel is more useful and relevant.

Communists have never stood up for individual workers. Individual workers are sacrificed for the collective good, i.e. the good of the murderous gangsters running the communist party wherever it exists.
