NRA and Gun window and bumper stickers aren’t a good idea either. They invite thieves to break into a vehicle to steal guns. Of course the overwhelming majority of guns used in murders, rapes, robberies, carjacking, and surging black on black murders are committed with Stolen Guns by a small percentage of the population.
Let’s get down to the point this author really is trying to make and that is the government is your enemy. It will do anything it can to hurt you.
I’d argue that they merely demonstrate willingness to consider an appropriate response to violence and/or crime.

Upon entering the little country store, the stranger noticed a sign saying; DANGER! BEWARE OF DOG! posted on the glass door.
Inside he noticed a harmless old hound dog asleep on the floor besides the cash register.
He asked the store manager, “Is THAT the dog folks are supposed to beware of?” “Yep, that’s him,” he replied.
The stranger couldn’t help but be amused.
“That certainly doesn’t look like a dangerous dog to me.
Why in the world would you post that sign?” “Because,” the owner replied, “before I posted that sign, people kept tripping over him.”
