The Democrats’ Hispanic Voter Problem It's Not As Bad As You Think—It’s Worse
The Democrats are steadily losing ground with Hispanic voters. The seriousness of this problem tends to be underestimated in Democratic circles for a couple of reasons: (1) they don’t realize how big the shift is; and (2) they don’t realize how thoroughly it undermines the most influential Democratic theory of the case for building their coalition.
On the latter, consider that most Democrats like to believe that, since a relatively conservative white population is in sharp decline while a presumably liberal nonwhite population keeps growing, the course of social and demographic change should deliver an ever-growing Democratic coalition. It is simply a matter of getting this burgeoning nonwhite population to the polls.
But consider further that, as the Census documents, the biggest single driver of the increased nonwhite population is the growth of the Hispanic population. They are by far the largest group within the Census-designated nonwhite population (19 percent vs. 12 percent for blacks). While their representation among voters considerably lags their representation in the overall population, it is fair to say that voting trends among this group will decisively shape voting trends among nonwhites in the future since their share of voters will continue to increase while black voter share is expected to remain roughly constant.
It therefore follows that, if Hispanic voting trends continue to move steadily against the Democrats, the pro-Democratic effect of nonwhite population growth will be blunted, if not cancelled out entirely, and that very influential Democratic theory of the case falls apart. That could...provoke quite a sea change in Democratic thinking.

Check the voting stats from the Texas border towns. Hispanic voters are trading conservative.

There is a lot of gaslighting going on here by open borders and establishment types. They make a false equivalence between multi generational Americans like Tejanos and newly arrived Honduras caravanners and their anchor babies. The new arrivals are going to vote for government sugar every time.
We could be seeing a realignment like what happened to blacks in the 1960 election.

Americans who ‘happen to be Hispanic’ will vote to keep our country strong. They vote with us. They’re Americans.
Illegals, criminals, and other trash ‘feel grateful’ for democrats embracing crime and criminals activities that got them here the first few years and keeps the worst of them out of prison... So democrat’s will see their best bet as flooding the country with illegals then quickly make them citizens. Also welcoming criminals from all over the world. Criminals are loyal to democrats.
Illegals will negate the votes of Hispanics who are citizens. All the rest of us will join together to fight white liberal ‘elites’ and the black thugs who prop up their power... Hispanics and Asians are part of that battle.
Decent black people will move toward us too... black people who love their families, children and communities. The blacks who want to live like the rest of us in safe productive neighborhoods... Black violent ‘pets’ of trashy white liberal ‘elites’ will stay loyal to democrats. Just like black overseers stayed loyal to democrat plantation owners...

In the hotly-contested 2021 Virginia gubernatorial election, according to the AP-NORC VoteCast survey (more reliable than the highly flawed exit polls), Democrat Terry McAuliffe actually lost the Latino vote and also lost ground among black and “other race’ (chiefly Asian) voters. This deterioration of nonwhite support also can be seen in analysis of precinct-level results.
I suspected the endless BLM messaging was going to turn off Hispanic voters.

You’re right! Then just write them off then and get use to NEVER winning again. Your choices are dwindling every year unless you’re thinking there’s another solution like some kind of civil conflict. BTW- I’ve been hearing that one too for far too long. Good luck with that- waiting on couch sitters to start an uprising....
Hispanic voters are duped.
They were duped with the dreamer crap, an executive order, not a law, which was an awesome political manuever by Democrats in order to push the Latino vote their way. Of course they also have a one sided MSM message working on them. The Democrats have very influential grass roots folks and influencers in that community. So much so, that when Trump was elected 2016, a lot of folks just disappeared soon after because they actually were affraid of a pattywagon showing up to pick them up... The stories they were told of what would happen were outrageous, almost funny they were so ridiculous, but these people believed the crap because it was being reinfoced by their Spanish speaking NBC owned (ultra liberal and pro Democrat) news (Telemundo). They had respected people whom they trust, leaders but that are political surrogates, tell them these stories and fuel this crap.
BUT... Here’s the problem and why this guy writing the article is right. The Latino voter is “real” Catholic and they are not pro-choice. They are not the white American North East Kennedy/Biden type Catholics (get the ashes on the forehead and then vote for abortion). They usually work and have jobs, if not multiple and they are not for more taxes. They are a masculine/feminine society where all this LGBTQIA+ garbage isn’t seen as cool or some badge of honor (men are men, women are women). Family is everything, and the idea of the government sticking thier nose into the family, police getting involved in family matters, schools teaching garbage that goes against their values... none of that is cool to them.
The Latino vote is a conservative vote when it comes to the issues, EXCEPT that the Democrats own the border issue. Ever since Obama in a genius political move created a perminenet issue (he didn’t ever want to really solve the issue - he created a chain that the Democrats start to jerk on every 3 years) that hooks them into the Democrats has the Latino vote been lost for conservatives. Many older Latino’s to this day love Reagan. If you go to the Cuban community, they not only love Reagan, they frigging hate Obama because of his pro-Commie Cuban regime stance. Realize, a lot of them fled Cuba because of the commies.
It’s the border. That’s it. You figure out a way through that mess, you’ll get a huge voting block that by default sort of wants to go conservative.
And Democrats identifying Hispanics as “Latinx”
PLEASE! Bring that trend to San Antonio!
