FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — On the final day of the Josh Duggar child pornography trial, the jury found Duggar guilty on both charges of receipt of child pornography and possession of child pornography.
Duggar, 33, faces up to 20 years in prison and fines of up to $250,000 for each count.
Judge Timothy Brooks announced that sentencing will happen at a later date, which has not been set.
Closing arguments began the morning of Dec. 8 and the verdict was reached on Dec. 9 after two days of deliberation.
The trial lasted six days and saw two witnesses called for the defense, while five witnesses took the stand for the prosecution.
The defense’s witnesses were Digital Forensics expert Michele Bush and Daniel Wilcox, a former Homeland Security Investigations task force member and Rogers Police Department narcotics officer.
The prosecution called five witnesses, including Jim and Bobye Holt, who said they were friends with the Duggar family.
Bobye Holt said during her testimony that Josh confessed to her about molesting young girls when he was a teenager.
Duggar was arrested on April 29, 2021. He was released from police custody to a third-party custodian on May 5, 2021.

Maybe he can share a cell with the (former) Subway spokesman.
That verdict should wipe the smirk off of his face.
That is what I was thinking
I actually read about the child porn he had & I had NO idea. He is a a very very sick person. Just boggles the mind that someone can find sexual satisfaction in the torture of babies & young girls.
The general prison population does have a moral center & he will get their justice too.
Yes! Justice.
If I ever did what he did my wife said she would leave me so fast, disown and divorce before I could even get a word out of my mouth
It speaks volumnes when his wife had porn detection software on their computers to alert her by phone if he went to XXX sites or did searches.

THANK YOU FOR SAYING THAT!!
Now you all know why I’ve been posting about this. Yes he’s a very sick and evil person. He needed locked up. I’m so happy the jury found him guilty.
It seems sometimes the most religious people are the most wicked. God’s got a special place in hell for them.
They use religion as a tool and overcompensate to hide their evil.
He’s going to be a porn star in prison.
If we were sane, child porn would be a capital offense.
I have no problem with the guilty verdict. But I do wish Homeland Security would be as diligent in going after who ever made the porn, uploaded the porn and filmed the porn. How about that Homeland? How about stopping it from getting to the web in the first place?
And Homo-hero Larry Brinkin gets a handslap for much worse, and still gets to keep his city pension.
I haven’t kept up too much with it, but were the digital forensics experts for the defense saying that the porn was put on his computer by someone else…possibly to frame him? (And obviously didn’t get very far) I had read what some of the porn was and was and..well..just no words that ANYONE would do this.
He really really should have taken the deal.
I’ve heard a lot of internet pornography is produced in other countries. We would have to get other countries onboard with fighting this evil, to try to stamp it out.
This all must be very hard on his kids; to learn of their father’s hidden life. Pray for THEM.
