Haven’t seen a Salvation Army bell ringer….hmmmm

Posted on 12/07/2021 2:56:46 PM PST by Maskot

This is just an observation… I am a professional shopper so I am in and out stores all day every day numerous times. Last week and thru this weekend there were Salvation Army bell ringers at almost every location I worked. The last two days there have been zero. A quick look on the internet “news” shows how they’re going to spin it. A. Lack. Of. Workers. Due. To……Covid! How convenient!

Nope nope nope ….. it’s NOT because we stepped into a pile of CRT poop. It’s a “lack of workers due to covid” 🤔

Anyone have any similar observations from their area?

Saw a sign for the SA at a grocery store in NE Ohio, but no kettle and no bell ringer present. Looked like they were setup for business but had no one to man the station.

Saw my first one today. EVERYONE was practicing their six foot social distancing.

“I personally know several individuals who have benefited from what the Salvation Army has to offer”

That was then; this is now. Things changed over time. In the ‘60s I used to go to one of their summer camps in upstate NY where my uncle preached. They were a solid Christian organization, and have been for decades. They have morphed.

Yale, Harvard, and other Ivy League universities also started life as solid Christian schools. Satan gets a foothold and principles deteriorate.

The safest option is to give that charitable donation to your local church (above normal tithe) for their Deacon’s Fund out whatever fund is used to help the needy.

As I pulled up at the crosswalk in front of Walmart today, the great Salvation Army rock hit, Rainy Day Women, #12 and #35 came on the radio. I cranked it up. Love that trombone.

That will teach them! So who is getting fucked in the end, the Salvation Army that will still remain solvent, or the needy that would normally be the recipient of your ALLEGED generous donation?

Or maybe the SA can cut their “Social Justice Commission.” Those funds ought to feed more than a few mouths. They don’t seem to have a problem diverting current donated funds from the needy to the Marxist indoctrination pot.

“So how soon was your church on site following 9/11?”

The media doesn’t report this, but when disasters hit, usually the Southern Baptist Men Disaster Relief buses, trucks, and volunteers, are first on the scene. They beat Red Cross, Salvation Army, etc.

I’m not SBC, so have no dog in this hunt.

“I’ve seen several bell ringers. What I have NOT seen is anybody putting anything in their kettles.”

Same here.

One kettle for the poor and another one for the Marxist “social justice commission” would do it, too.

Most people do not pay attention. It doesn’t surprise me contributions are comparable to past years.

The contributors to the SA Marxist indoctrination program were nationwide. This as far from a “national organization” issue as possible.

The premise is total BS. Three weeks ago the SA had a big media splash with the NFL to inaugurate the season opening a week earlier than usual. No way they’d had done that if they suspected there was going to be a lack of workers.

Send me a link to your church's website where I can find what services it provides to the indigent in your community.

I can assure you the church we attend are doers of the WORD.

I have not seen a Salvation Army bell ringer outside of the four stores that I visited recently. Zero. I never gave to the Salvation Army bell ringer in the past, because I donate to charities that have less overhead expenses that SA.

In the past when I go by a bell ringer I usually have stopped and given a buck.
Calling me a honkey will not help get me to give more dollars.

There was a group of six of us bandying around volunteering to ring bells locally, and that got dropped. All of us understand that outside in the cold and the light it is near impossible to transmit COVID, so COVID had nothing to do with us choosing not to. There are other charities.

Did someone mention adrenochrome?

Since El Chapo got locked up our business is down about
30%. Hard times for everyone, true story.

Since we started harvesting and distributing Adrenochrome
we've gained back and expanded near to 170% over the previous numbers.

We dumped the dollar and have our amassed fortune in rhino horn and Egyptian mummies.
