C’mon, man. There are no dairy farms and processing plants in NY State? Anywhere? NY is ideal climate for Holsteins. They thrive there.

Guess I’m deprived. I really don’t have a good idea what “cream cheese” is. Not a foodstuff I encounter. And barely know what bagel is. Not commonly seen out here.

Cream cheese is pretty darn easy to make.
Get off your arses and do it yourself. May even be better and increase your business.
That’s probably not a viable solution. They produce bagels, not thousands of pounds of cream cheese. They would have to buy equipment and lease more space, for one. Besides, they would still depend on distribution to get the ingredients. Should they also keep their own cows out back?

You’re just a negative Nancy. None of what you said is correct in the case of cream cheese for bagels.
