House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) went on the defensive this week when asked by FOX Business about preventing slave labor in China.
"One of the things that Senator Rubio has said is that the reason why the House has not voted on that Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act is because [U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate] John Kerry has lobbied you and others not to act on it and to slow-walk it, so it doesn’t complicate his climate change negotiations with China. Is that true?" asked FOX Business’ Hillary Vaughn.
"No, it is not true, and you know, again, if you want to repeat the charges of the Republicans, that’s up to you, but that is completely not true," Pelosi fired back.
"For over 30 years, I have been the considered the most disliked - they use stronger language than that … in China - because of my assault on their human rights violations, and no, that’s absolutely, positively not true. But you asked the question, so they won their case," the speaker claimed without providing evidence.
Critics, however, have pointed out that Pelosi was quick to cozy up to China in the past when it was politically convenient and is doing the same again.
"The Biden administration and Nancy Pelosi one-up their absurdity daily. Their willingness to slow-walk human rights legislation that would hamstring China’s slave labor operation is obscene," said Rep. Guy Reschenthaler (R-Pa.) to FOX Business.
"John Kerry gallivants across the world on his private jet in the name of climate change, while Uyghur Muslims are held in reeducation camps and subjected to forced labor in the name of profit margins for the CCP. Which is more important? That’s a question I would love Speaker Pelosi to answer," the Pennsylvania congressman continued.

You totally nailed it. So many Americans do NOT understand because they have NOT traveled outside of the United States. In Guatemala, they have shirt factories (Vietnam too). The people who work there are paid like $1 per hour, are severely mistreated and often not allowed bathroom breaks. In Mexico, not too many years ago, I saw people work for around $2 per hour in the talavera shops. I talked to them and asked them. The defacto slavery in the world would blow peoples' minds.
When you see that and then you watch what is happening here, you REALIZE where we're headed. It is nearly impossible to get someone to believe it and our media doesn't even begin to cover it. If they did, the governments where this occurs and/or organized gangs would kill them.

If the label says “Biden,” it was definitely influenced by China. – John Solomon at JustTheNews.com is reporting that The National Legal and Policy Center has asked the U.S. Department of Education to investigate its findings that the University of Pennsylvania (Penn) has over the past several years accepted more than $22 million in anonymous China-originated donations to its Biden Center and failed to properly disclose the contributions.
From Solomon’s report: The complaint, filed by the National Legal and Policy Center, says that over the past three years, the university has (admitted to accepting around) $22 million in anonymous funding from Chinese sources. That’s out of a total of more than $70 million from Chinese donors during that time, the NLPC said.
Those significant funds, including the anonymous amounts, rolled in after the Biden Center was announced in early 2017 and launched in February 2018. The center is located in downtown Washington, D.C. Federal records show that the University of Pennsylvania has received significant donations from Communist China since the opening of the Biden Center.
One 2018 donation alone totals $14.5 million; it is listed as “anonymous” in federal records. The NLPC alleges the university may have violated federal law in accepting those anonymous monetary donations from Communist China. The Higher Education Act mandates schools report the national origins of any donations above $250,000 although not necessarily the individual names of donors themselves. [End]

I submit most Americans themselves support slave labor. Perhaps many give little or no thought to who produces the products they purchase each and every day.
If Americans would collectively stop purchasing Chinese made goods or at the very least look at the label and purchase 50% less goods produced in China, we would see corporations alter their manufacturing processes.
I have successfully boycotted Chinese produced goods for decades now. Walmart (Chinamart) was caught rebranding items as “Made in America” when in fact were produced in Communist China. This was decades ago.
I remember walking in to Walmart, kiosks of clothing with cardboard American flag placards atop with big bold letters...”MADE IN AMERICA”. When in fact, they were not.
Cheap Chinese goods are cheap for a reason. Slave labor, child labor, forced labor all to increase the $$bottom line$$ of American corporations. Shameful!
