CLEARFIELD COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) – Picture this: You’re sitting in the woods alone after just getting your first white-tail. You’re excited, your heart is already racing, and then out of nowhere a black bear shows up intent on making your buck its lunch.
One woman in Pennsylvania had that very experience, with not one … but four bears. Jordan Zabinski went hunting for the first time over the Thanksgiving weekend and shot her first buck.
“I was so terrified of a bear, and my husband was like, ‘I’ve never seen a bear except for this one time.’ He said, ‘Don’t worry, you’re not gonna see one,’” Zabinski said.
But right after she knocked down the buck, she found out she wasn’t alone.
“I hear like, crunching. And I’m like, ‘There’s a deer, there’s a deer!’” she said.
But it wasn’t another deer. She was staring at four black bears.
After multiple unanswered texts and calls to her husband, who was helping her brother load a deer he had killed, she started to worry.
“At first I was really quiet, but then I really started to freak out,” Zabinski said. After finally getting a hold of her husband, she had to wait about 30 minutes more, so she tried to keep as quiet as possible.
“It’s been a while now and no one’s coming. What if they don’t to get me in time?” she worried.
Once her husband and brother arrived, they scared away the bears and recovered the deer carcass, which was only missing the tail.
While terrifying, Jordan said she’ll carry what she learned from the experience with her moving forward. She even went hunting again the following day.
“Now I know that if I just yell they are going to run because that’s all they did was just come up and yell.”
VIDEO AT LINK.....................
This makes me very sad.
Also carries trichinosis.
And possibly prion disease ( any animal which is cannibalistic is at much higher risk, including humans).
“Now I know that if I just yell they are going to run because that’s all they did was just come up and yell.”
I’d like to know the verified and tested results for the study conducted to come up that suggestion. I know I wouldn’t bet my life on it.
About an hour later I heard a shot coming from her direction. Excited I ran over to see what she got. She was arguing furiously with another hunter. As ran up all I could hear was the other hunter saying.....
"Okay, okay lady it's your kill, but can just get my saddle off first."
Yelling can work - just be careful if the bear yells back!

Ive worked in some restaurants and Ive heard and read a lot of stories about the goings on in some. I know that there are a lot of people that cant tell the difference between chicken or pork. In a spicy cuisine even stranger things in less fresh condition have been known to pass for others. Just be vewy vewy quiet and no one will know any better.
Dont eat the ones from the dump and they are delicious.
No. Well, yeah, I was kidding, but bear isn’t that bad.
As a military retiree, I can tell you that just about every MRE came with a little bottle of hot sauce. Some of us would collect them from the troops that didn’t like it.
We used to joke that ANYTHING was edible with enough hot sauce. If it still tastes nasty, you didn’t use enough.
That is EXACTLY what I was thinking 4 bears were there for 45 minutes and all they ate was the tail, REALLY!! I also find this hard to believe!!
Now the bears are forming flash mobs to grab deer when you shoot them.
Never hunted around bears but I’ve heard a gunshot is like ringing the dinner bell for them.
When I hunted deer with a single shot muzzleloader, I always had my XD-40 in case of mountain lions or other critters.
I wazs thinking hunte Bidet.. LoL!
Not sure. The link seems broken to me too now. All I can guess is it’s an issue at the source.
THAT is absolutely true - former Marine here and MRE’s were delicious with hot sauce 🤣🤣🤣
