Most came from Nigeria. I would suspect that MANY came via Roxham Road, into Quebec. Hopefully true, but pretty much any TWO randomly selected cases are likely to be mild, especially with both of them vaccinated. We’ll see in a couple weeks. If yesterday’s reports that 74% of cases in SA last month were Omicron, then this variant has very quickly displaced Delta in SA, and will likely become the dominant strain here too. If it really is a milder variant, that might be a very good thing.
