the thought of covid would never cross my mind...
Seriously, I don’t know why everyone is obsessed with it.
135 million American Covid survivors with superior immunity continue to be ignored, as if they don’t exist or matter.
Life goes on here in Arizona as if it never happened.

Just got my Pfizer booster. Hey, I’m old and have “comorbidities”, playing the odds here. Btw, each Pfizer shot is worse than the others. #1, nothing, #2, chills and slept 12 hours. This one I was sick as a dog for a day.
Feel free to ignore threads like this one and focus on fishing or hunting, whatever it is that you like to do.
For the rest of us, we are interested because there are folks who live in the free state of Florida where you have the freedom to make choices in your lives and others who live in places like New York City where there's mandatory vaccine passports and masks when you go inside buildings.
So we have to resist Democrats from making totalitarian decisions that would impact our lives. So here's the data we have so we can make sound arguments to advocate for liberty.

Let me give you an interesting take and opinion. Delta was very quite devastating. It was awful in terms of speed and mortality. I sort of figured delta would follow the previous year and work it’s way north and interiorly and by the end we would have herd immunity. It would fit what happened in Florida and the south. The reason Florida has the fewest cases looks like features of herd immunity. Vaccinated people plus those who have natural immunity.
Now for the theory. Assume that omicron had been here a lot longer than today. We happen to know that original Covid 19 was circulating months before it became a news story. Let’s also assume they all these positives are omicron. It would explain the lack of hospitalizations relatively speaking as it appears to be a far milder disease and would follow the laws of epidemics that virus mutates to more contagious less destructive diseases.
Could we be actually looking at the transition from delta to omicron dominance with the relative increase in cases but decrease in severity? That would be a Godsend because delta is just a real bastard.
Look at the currently infected trend at your link, we are way higher than last year! In spite of 450 million vaccinations.

Then we should be encouraging the spread of omicron as much as possible. No reason to take actions to prevent the spread of omicron if that turned out to be the case.

I cannot quite get myself as someone who took the oath of Hippocrates to say we should spread disease. But I agree with everything else you have said.
Youngsters getting the shots? Twice a year? Each shot worse than the other? In perpetuity?
Better hope these Covid mutations make the virus more and more mild.

Ultimately they will. The actions taken by the governments throughout the world is just postponing the inevitable and making us suffer far longer than necessary.
Take a look at India where they allowed Delta to tore through the population. Now they have herd immunity where the virus is endemic but life goes on as normal.
