I’m still full. What a lovely Christmas Day.

I only have room for one piece of leftover apple pie with my coffee then back to bed.

I never understood anyone going out shopping on Boxing Day. I would pay double the price to NOT have to shop.

Hope everyone had a good day yesterday with family and friends.

Winter has arrived in Montana, however.

Thermometer at The Homestead says -2 and is supposed to be dithering around that until next year sometime. Unless it gets colder. Or snows some more and then gets all the way up to freezing so the roads get nice and slick for all of our newcomers.

No, I'm not complaining.

Actually enjoy this weather....much prefer to have distinct seasons.

Only drawback is when one of the grandkids is just about to get a Driver's License at this particular season and I self-select as Instructor----again. (Don't mind the kids but some "other" drivers make me crazy.)

Which reminds me.

Going over about 10:00 to pick up the 14yo for her Training Session....

It was cold one day here in Wisconsin but has been nice. I was hoping for snow, some say it might snow Thursday.

Sometimes Santa is scary to little ones.

A mom who thought her toddler loved meeting a mall Santa discovered he was signaling for help after looking at a snap of his encounter.

Kerry Spencer had taught her kids to baby sign before they could speak so they could communicate while they were infants.

But she never expected 1-year-old son, Samuel, to use his skill to send out an SOS while sitting on Santa’s lap.

I'm repeating myself but "If none of my family or friends have to drive in the snow, I don't mind the winter." I enjoy sitting by the woodstove with comfy cozy clothing on.

Beautiful wood stove! Looks like the one the kids just installed in their lower level family room. It heats the entire house - the furnace has not been used once yet. I love a nice fire!
