We’re supposed to upload our COVID cards on an internet site that’s loving this opportunity.
If not that, weekly testing. I will not do either of these things. I have not tried an exemption though no such thing is mentioned at work.
BTW, aim having to do this despite the fact I have been virtual working minimal hours ever since this nonsense started. Our campus is open but I have not been allowed to be in person yet, so it’s absolutely ridiculous.
Oh and BTW, they have no rules about actually doing anything to enforce ON campus.
I am going the fire-me route. I’ve shut up since the final rules came out, but may prepare a bit of complaints including how they’ve failed at being pure safety NAZIs if they don’t keep us dangerous unvaxed people ACTUALLY OUT of their buildings!
I retired because I would have been put on unpaid suspension.
Of the 60 people in my department, only two others left rather than get jabbed.
I’m mostly retired and what little work I do have is not affected at present.
My son’s fiance is going to lose her job and her enrollment in school. She has autoimmune issues and doesn’t feel comfortable with the jab. But her doctors won’t sign a medical exemption. She’s hoping she can find another doctor who will help with the exemption.
I am a freelance contractor - some of my contracts are under threat over getting the clot shot. Nevermind I have had the coof and recovered. We are living in a time of zero logic.
I understand there is a web site out there listing only jobs that don’t require the shot. Perhaps someone will post it.
I have until 19 Jan 22. I already have a different job lined up. If it wasn’t for the vax mandate I wouldn’t have been looking. Now, I have something better. Even if they rescinded the mandate tomorrow, I’m still out the door.
Got the jab because Big Co. threatened termination for stepping on Big property without it. I rarely do, but between mouths to feed and quarterly meetings on site I figured I’m not that anti-vax. Mad about it but have to pick battles wisely.
Luckily am able to work from home. Don’t think my work wants to force the jab on employees anyway unless forced to by law.
My older sister’s job (Behavioral health) has mandated it. She’s been there 25 yrs, she’s filed a religious exemption. Praying and hoping she gets it, apparently most of the religious exemptions are being accepted.
She’s been really stressed about it. Luckily she’s 60 in Feb and has over $100k in her 401k she can take out if they can her. Worst comes to worst she can work something from home and then take a reduced SS check in 2 yrs. So her and my bro-in law should be fine, he’s eligible for SS in a yr.
My exemption was accepted the day after it was requested.
I’m a federal employee. We all had to either upload our vax evidence or request an exemption (religious or medical). We are waiting to hear on the exemptions. Supervisors are just sitting on them. The “firing date” keeps getting moved back. So far only those who didn’t upload the vax proof or request an exemption—those who ignored the whole thing—are supposedly at risk of being fired. I think the federal employees unions might have something to say.
My job is ready to do weekly swabs versus forcing the jab. They have been in a holding pattern since the 5th Circuit ruling. Then plan is in place.
Getting a weekly swab is an appropriate compromise.
And it isn’t like they jab it up in there. It’s super gentle right towards the end of your nose. Not a big deal.

The place where I work realized too many would quit. They are having a hard enough time trying to hire people.
DoD employee. Religious exemption, unknown status. Have to get tested 72 hours prior to going to work. I am 8 months from retirement with 25 years of exemplary service as an Army scientist and operations research analyst. Did 5 years of active duty Army enlisted time. This is really hard, the Army has been my family and my life.
Dear Littler: Can we ban the unvaccinated from our office parties?
Meanwhile, the folks having all the fun will be at their own Christmas party, leaving the corporate crap to the Karen clones.
My wife and son were placed on “inactive” status last week. Technically still employees but not allowed on the premises.
I’m a substitute teacher in Illinois and my evil governor mandated that all public school teachers MUST be vaxxed. I sought a religious exemption and the school district granted it. It seems they apparently signed off of any request because theyre short handed as it is already, and can’t afford to lose subs when the regular teacher is out.
Having gotten jabbed long before President Butt-Head imposed his silly mandate, I’m not in danger, but one of my co-workers has resigned, rather than share his jab info with the company.
Not yet, but I work in Florida. I believe my company is just waiting out all the lawsuits.
