Tomorrow is the due date for me.

We’re supposed to upload our COVID cards on an internet site that’s loving this opportunity.

If not that, weekly testing. I will not do either of these things. I have not tried an exemption though no such thing is mentioned at work.

BTW, aim having to do this despite the fact I have been virtual working minimal hours ever since this nonsense started. Our campus is open but I have not been allowed to be in person yet, so it’s absolutely ridiculous.

Oh and BTW, they have no rules about actually doing anything to enforce ON campus.

I am going the fire-me route. I’ve shut up since the final rules came out, but may prepare a bit of complaints including how they’ve failed at being pure safety NAZIs if they don’t keep us dangerous unvaxed people ACTUALLY OUT of their buildings!

Why not do the weekly testing? Just curious.

I had already been double vaccinated by the time the idea of making them mandatory came in here.

I believe in vaccination.

But if I’d known they were going to make it mandatory for people in my profession, I would have reconsidered.

This should be a choice.

My store has said they won’t do anything until the courts act.

Deadline for a response regarding my religious exemption request was 11/24. I didn’t receive any response, update, rejection or anything. I know two other employees in the same boat — one also heard nothing, one got an email that basically said “still working on it, thanks for your patience.”

So I guess I keep showing up for work until I hear otherwise.

I submitted my religious exemption request. I think Jan 4th is it for me. In any case, I will not take it. I’ll figure something else to do. You see, I have a Father and intercessor that takes care of me. Always has, always will.

I work in the silicon valley for a big high tech company. So far, my company’s been hush about mandatory jabs. I’ve been working remotely since this entire COVID crap started. If I do go into work on any specific day, I am required to get an onsite test. Fortunately, I’m eligible for retirement being I’m pushing 60.

I don't know what $DAYJOB has planned with regards to a vaccine mandate. Hoping for the best, but planning for the worst. If it comes to it, I will let them separate me; I will then check with the State unemployment office regarding my options.

One option is to try to find another job and take unemployment insurance if it's allowed. Another option is to fire up a sole proprietorship and do gig work. A third option is to just go ahead and retire -- retiring two years before my 70th birthday shouldn't have that much effect on my payout.

I just love the extortion tactics of the Biden Administration.

A judge stepped in today to stop the mandate for now. However, GE approved my religious waiver anyway. So for now I am safe.

My company (DoD contractor) put out the edict in October but they’ve backed way off. I was going to let them fire me, but while they’re still pushing the shot, they’re not threatening anybody’s jobs.

Interesting…

Self employment has a lot of headaches and red tape, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I simply don’t have to put up with that kind of garbage and am thankful for it every day. I’m so sorry for those who do. It makes me sad. I don’t blame anyone for whatever choice they make. It’s up to them, as it should be. Mandating anything is ridiculous, in my opinion.

I think it is safe to say all employers are faced with the possibility of not staying in business if they fire enough of their employees.

Keeping a federal contract is problematic if your company goes out of business trying to comply.

Unlike government agencies, most private companies NEED all of the people they have on duty.

Having heard today a federal judge has stopped the feds from mandating federal contractors insist their employees get jabbed, I assume there is a widespread acknowledgment the federal government itself will be shut down if all federal contractors cannot keep operating.

I read that a major shipbuilding contractor for the Navy had to rescind its mandates or stop building U.S. Navy ships as too many of their workers were going to quit.

The U.S. military cannot operate without a vast network of contracted civilian companies. If enough of their employees are fired or quit, the military runs out of fuel, bullets, food to feed the troops, uniforms, toilet paper and all manner of supplies IN A HURRY ! Their aircraft are built by contractors so none will be completed for possible combat use. Even a huge amount of fixed and rotary wing military aircraft maintenance is done by civilian contractors.

The ugly truth is now undeniable...American government itself comes to a halt if the mandate insanity is forced to continue.

There have been a lot of headlines lately about Big Pharma not believing that their Notavaxes will do anything against the Omicron variant and that it will take 100 days for them to come up with a Notavax for it.

So, really then, no one is fully vaccinated.

The boosters won’t work, despite what the CDC says about getting boosters. The CDC is contradicted by the drug companies themselves.

So, more questions to ask companies about the mandates they want to enforce, as well as asking them why they want to enforce mandates that keep getting overruled by judges.

Another question to ask is why only those not vaccinated with the Notavax have to test when Lebron James is vaxxed and had to test regularly and tested positive and now must sit out games.

At least companies should make their white employees who are vaxxed test regularly in solidarity with James and to show they are not racist.

I had some concern because I work for a very large IT company with government contracts. However, the company HQ is in Texas, and the vast majority of them, including EVERYONE on my team works from home 100% of the time. I have never been within 300 miles of my co-workers since moving to Phoenix.

These factors have given me some measure of safety. Also, since we are in operations, it would be very risky indeed to risk even a modest percentage of IT employees simultaneously.

The company has been silent.

I lost my job in July for refusing both vax and mask.

I guess I pretty much fired them for refusing to recognize my natural immunity. Zero regrets.

My finances are good so I'm in no hurry to get back to work especially the way things are going but I have some nice opportunities that I really can't pass up.

Life has really never been better.

I got the threat talk this week. If no vaccination, expect layoff, firing, reduced salary, compensation.TBD. But still could you do all the end year contracts? (For the next guy who comes after you?)I said no I cannot tell you I’m gong to be vaccinated as I had a big case this summer. Put it in writing by Friday what you are asking for, and what are the repercussions if I don’t, and I will review my new compensation plan before I do any of the work for your benefit.

I work for a Federal contractor, and I will likely be placed on unpaid leave on Dec 8.

Which is fine. I can live off the dividends from my stock holdings, not to mention the money I have in savings from selling two houses. My only debt is my mortgage.

Long term, I expect that I will move the hell out of Northern Virginia. I really do not like this area. I have been here for 34 years and there is less and less of a reason for me to stay as the years go on. I am only here because I moved here with my parents, one of whom has already passed away. I have enough equity in my house that I could sell it and pay cash for a house in a lower cost of living area, with the added bonus that I will likely to be able to find an IT job that isn’t a Federal contract (difficult or impossible in Northern Virginia, where EVERYONE sucks off the Federal teat).

So yea, I have a plan.
