We ask God to forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.

Heaven's gonna be sparsely populated if only those who earn their salvation dwell there.

The SA published a sixty seven page document here:

https://s3.amazonaws.com/cache.salvationarmy.org/e0c074e3-39db-4b09-a6ea-aa5bdb6ecaa6_Let%2527s%2520Talk%2520About...%2520Racism%2520COMPLETE%2520SET.pdf

The clear “thrust” of the document is that whites are racist and blacks are not—you really need to at least scan the document to get the full flavor of it.

It is anti-white racist brainwashing imho.

They went woke—now they are trying to weasel out of it.

This does seem a bit out off the mark for them. I never heard them make woky statements before.

We need to know was this an official approved statement from SA or just some new collage lefty hire who took it upon themselves to destroy the SA from within.

Those types are out there in force.

Look at the credits on page 66 and 67.

This is _not_ a renegade document.

Denial is not a river in Egypt.

I would like to see the original statement from the Salvation Army - the media has gone after them, but I want to see exactly what they said.

This breaks my heart. In 2003 when a hurricane took our house and everything inside, SA was the only group that came by our street with hot meals for us. I have given to them every since. No United Way or Red Cross. They had there trailers set=up in a parking lot but you had to go there to get water etc. SA came to us.
I’m sad to say I will be putting a copy of their message in the Red bucket this year.

Sadly, things change.

Yale and Harvard began as Christian schools. Most religious denominations had some type of conservative Christian base.

"The original statement from the Salvation Army" is on this thread.

--The sixty seven page document we are discussing is here:

Their "explanation" is here:

Thanks - I found post 14 after I had responded to the original post.

Sure looks kind of woke to me, though I’ll read it more thoroughly first. Hating whitey, their biggest donating race.

What has me truly angry is that this is a _brainwashing_ document—trying to “manufacture consent” using classic leftist propaganda techniques.

This is _exactly_ what you will see at “woke” universities around the country.

This is a “blame whitey” document, specifically attacking the MLK doctrine of “content of character” and specifically endorsing “color of skin” as what really matters in life.

Scary, awful, evil stuff—no way around it.

Haven’t given to Salvation Army for a very long time. My donations go to Union Gospel Mission, so I know it will be used locally to help drunks and perhaps druggies too clean up their act. They do incredibly great work.

From the racist garbage produced by the Salvation Army from the link above:

“The tool has been provided through the International
Social Justice Commission and is designed to stimulate gracious
discussion among Salvationists who choose to participate.”

The fact that they have a “Social Justice Commission” tells you all you need to know.

I have supported the salvation Army in the past. I will not donate to them again and will encourage everyone I know to ignore them.

It’s getting harder and harder to trust charities, new ones especially, without vetting them thoroughly.
Also, with everything getting so expensive and the times being so uncertain, who has money for charities? I would love to give money to my favorite causes if I had it to give.
Except for the Republican Party. Nothing for them!

It was in their 65 page manifesto. It contained an entire treatise on “what is whiteness” and how to combat it. Screw the SA.

Maybe one bell ringer ask someone. WTH knows what’s true anymore. Just too many commie’s taking over everything, everywhere. Setting up stories to rile people.

These pikers have left their, "Please let us know how you feel about submitting to SA CRT" SurveyMonkey, well, up and running. Gosh, it would be a shame if Freepers shared how they felt about this by taking that survey. The true nature of their witless 'witness' might just become very clear to them. Gosh.

We used to use those survey monkey thingies where I worked (now retired).

In the last couple of years it got so bad that there were no multiple choice choices bad enough to describe what was happening.

They needed one more alternative:

“This organization is totally f&^%$#!”

;-)
