Salvation Army trying to weasel their way out of their woke statement.

Too little too late. I have already cut them out of my Will.
I *had* great respect for the Salvation Army. I hope this controversy is cleared up, one way or the other. So if anyone knows what’s actually going on here, please let us know.
I normally give to them when I enter the store. I see very few giving this year. I wonder if it’s for the same reason as me.
Let’s see - “change your mind” (= “repent”) for your skin color???
How in the world could anyone possibly do that even if they wanted to?
We made our annual donation yesterday and asked for a refund today!
Yup. My new fave charity is ME. Maybe the local humane society. NOT the US humane society.
Denial is not a river in Egypt.
They went woke—now they are trying to weasel out of it.
They are stating the claims are false. What proof do we have that they actually said what is claimed? Serious question. Too often such claims are made just to inflame us. Their statement was pretty emphatic.
Local charities are much much better—and you want to make sure you _know_ (don’t think you know, _know_) _exactly_ how the money is spent.
Donating time is better than donating money—then you are certain what is happening.
The claim has been posted several times on FR.
It has to be true.
I believe that the admonition to repent for whatever it is you were supposed to repent for went out in writing to established Salvation Army donors. I consider that proof enough.
I wonder what genius in Salvation Army management came up with that stroke of Genius idea.
Ditto that. Piss on ‘em and their wokeness.
Appears they miscalculated. I worked as a volunteer for the Salvation Army uuntil Feb. 2020 and can tell you from first hand experience that the staff I worked with are as woke as they come and support BLM, Antifa, and LBQT 100% without deviation (which is why I stopped volunteering with them. At the time, I thought it was just at my local branch, but appears I was wrong.
After this week’s newest “woke” proclamation, I advised them that I will no longer donate time or money to them. I suspect they are seeing a huge and unexpected backlash from individual donors and volunteers, most of whom are probably white. That has to to be damaging for them, especially during the holiday season when they rely on volunteers and donations the mist.
I won’t give them one thin dime if the original statement is true.
See post 14.
Read Salvation Army’s anti-white racist screed for yourself.
You do not need to take anyone’s word for it.

See post 14, and read for yourself “what is actually going on here”...
Now THAT I will donate to!
Skepticism is the order of the day. SA is a very effective Christian organization. I can’t imagine that anyone would plant false information to harm the organization.
Do I really need a sarcasm tag?
