(CNN)Hundreds of FedEx packages were discovered discarded in a ravine Wednesday in Blount County, Alabama, some 40 miles northeast of Birmingham, according to the local sheriff's office.
Deputies responded Wednesday afternoon to a ravine on private property, where they discovered 300 to 400 FedEx packages of assorted sizes...
...the company "sent multiple trucks and drivers from all over the south" who were set to begin loading the packages at sunrise Thursday....

Yes, your package may appear a bit dinged up and sound like broken glass but we assure you it is just as it left the store.
Why would somebody do this?
Revenge?
Around here, they get it wrong more often than not.
Newman!!!
I had to wait a week as the ground service hub was all clogged up. Rather than delay projects, am now doing the air service and keeping on schedule.
In explaining my delay on getting the project going, I told my client that the ground service hub had only 60% of their usual employees working.
“Well, when the government pays people to stay home, what do they expect!?”
They can track what vehicle it was supposed to be on, who was supposed to deliver it, who had it last.
will be interesting to find out what happened here.
Mentality behind it: "I DON"T WANT TO WORK.. I JUST WANT SOME MONEY"
I hate using fed x. Nothing but problems EVERY time. I avoid them when ever possible.
The USPS has become about as reliable as a condom with a hole in it!
UPS has always been good for me, so I go out of my way to use them.
... and I’m sure they’ll ask them not to do that again.
NOW you know why amazon is contracting with their own name-branded delivery services. No sure the exact arrangement as far as who owns the vans, but the vans with the amazon logos on them are driven by employees of companies on contract with amazon. Also, you now see why amazon is so heavily promoting the amazon locker locations; drivers make one stop, load multiple deliveries into multiple lockers, and the customer takes the package the last “leg” from the locker to their home.
The other night we saw a FedEx truck leave 3 packages at a mailbox about 8 feet off US 27 in Michigan. On returning home, they were still there, so I went to the house to tell someone. The man said it showed as delivered, but he never thought they would leave it at the road.
Wow my dad does security for them, he probably knows about this. They absolutely know what happened because the packages are scanned constantly and they know at all times where each one is, who is the last person to have it. Either this was an accident or someone deliberately dumped them but they know who.
Yes, look how they are loading them in that truck, what the hell?
“responded Wednesday afternoon to a ravine”
“Newman!!!”
Wrong ravine. That’s two ravines over.
and Newman wanted a route in Hawaii LOL
I’ve had great delivery people, but USPS is almost universally assholes
As much as I hate Bezos and the Amazon monster, when I do have to order from amazon, they have always been good and reliable.
{I sometimes will go out and drive an extra 5 - 10 miles to purchase from a local Mom & Pop to avoid feeding the amazon beast).
why do we all hate bezos or musk but we luv the gubermint...
FEDERAL Express. I think I see the problem.
