Wasn’t lying
They just self-identified as another race
Like the white gal Rachel Dolean who turned herself black and ran the state naacp chapter
“It’s not a lie if you ‘believe’ it!”
Finally! Someone who knows the proper response to any such "Doubting Thomases" who question one's racial identification!
Make them hold up a brown paper bag to your skin! Make them reveal that they are "old timey" racists!
Regards,
My son graduated from Pepperdine University with a 3.9 GPA and scored a 34 on the MCAT and got accepted to only one med school. A small school in Virginia across the country from family and friends. Ultimately, he decided not to go and got a Master’s in computer science. He’s glad now because he’s making good money, not stressed and not heavily in debt.
I never thought to have him lie about his race but after all was said and done, I told him he should have lied about being gay. I told him he would never have had to prove it, lol.
“the most popular racial claim was Native American”
Well that’s not a lie if you were born in the USA.
Race is a a social construct . So is it really a “lie”?
just yesterday some random FReeper said “we’re all African” so if that’s true- no one is lying.
PS. Just to be clear that FR was not being sarcastic.
Morale of the story: White people lie too? /s
If they don’t lie, they will be denied due equal consideration because of their skin color. This must be done, the evil of this leftist racist idiocy must be blunted and destroyed at every opportunity.
My eldest grand daughter does well in high school, though not particularly stellar. Yet she’s received a couple of offers from colleges with scholarships and the like. The only thing we can think of as to why is that her mother named her “Carmen.”
White is the New Nigger.
It's FAR worse than that. It's also the stigma the qualified minorities will carry for the rest of their lives, too.
When ever I run into a so-called 'minority' individual in business, my first thought is "Did they get there from merit, or from skin color?" The only way to know the truth is for them to prove it - from experience, and that takes time. They are simply not accepted as they are portrayed. That is a fact of life in these days of affirmative action. I've known far too many who were NOT qualified.
34% is too low. If Senator Elizabeth “Lieawatha” Warren can do it and be rewarded by the same government that institutionalized racism under the name “affirmative action”, 100% of students need to do it.
“Colleges are not solely looking at a person’s race”. If you are not politically connected, top colleges are 100% looking at your race.
“We are all minorities now.”
I’m part Neanderthal, so I put “mixed.”
Had an interview once where my application said I was African American. The HR person had no clue how to address it with me. Finally she asked why I put African American on my application when clearly I was not. I said I was born in Africa which made me African American.
She was not amused.
Apply whatever race you identify with on that day. Turn about is fair play.
