Breaking: Australian Army Begins Transferring Contacts of COVID-19 Positive Cases To Quarantine Camps
dailyexpose.uk ^ | NOVEMBER 22, 2021 | PATRICIA HARRITY

Posted on 11/22/2021 1:39:29 PM PST by ransomnote

In an appalling breach of human rights, 38 indigenous Australians in the Northern Territory have been hauled into quarantine camps by the army.

The Australian army has begun forcibly removing residents in the Northern Territories to the Howard Springs quarantine camp located in Darwin after nine new Covid-19 cases were identified in the community of Binjari. The move comes after hard lockdowns were instituted in the communities of both Binjari and nearby Rockhole on Saturday night.

Northern Territory Chief Minister Michael Gunner announced today that the “Residents of Binjari and Rockhole no longer have the five reasons to leave their homes,.” The five allowable reasons to avoid lockdown that he referred to are buying food and supplies, exercising for up to two hours, care or caregiving, work, or education. It is a case of if it can’t be done from home, and to get vaccinated at the nearest possible location.

Howard Springs, Quarantine Camp, Northern Territory

“They can only leave for medical treatment, in an emergency, or as required by law.” says Gunner, he continues that “It’s highly likely that more residents will be transferred to Howard Springs today, either as positive cases or close contacts,” adding “We have already identified 38 close contacts from Binjari but that number will go up. Those 38 are being transferred now.”

Gunner said that he had contacted the Prime Minister last night and that they are grateful for the support of about 20 ADF personnel, as well as army trucks to assist with the transfer of positive cases and close contacts – and to support the communities. He also said “We are doing an assessment today of what extra resources we might need from the Feds, and the Prime Minister is ready to help further – I thank him for that.”

The video below shows the Northern Territory Chief Minister Michael Gunner as he announces the news.

Quarantine facilities

There are two mandatory supervised quarantine facilities in the Northern Territory; Centre for National Resilience in Howard Springs, Darwin, and the Alice Springs Quarantine Facility, Alice Springs. As stated on the Northern Territory Government website, A person in quarantine must;

Chief Health Officer Direction 52 of 2021 sets out what a person must do when in quarantine at the Centre for National Resilience and at Alice Springs Quarantine Facility.  This direction is law – every person in quarantine must do what the Direction says. If a person does not follow the Direction, the Northern Territory Police may issue an Infringement Notice with a financial penalty. (Source)

The Northern Territory as of today, November 22nd, 2021, has a total of 38 “Cases” of what they deem to be COVID-19, which makes it even more blatantly obvious that the excessive new measure has nothing to do with a virus.

I’m one of the Australians here who know what is actually going on in this country and isn’t just accepting the crap Americans are being fed to try and make them feel better about their own country.

I believe in freedom. I’ve fought for it. But I also believe in being honest and not spreading propaganda to push a conservative agenda. Conservatives don’t need to lie - we’re right to begin with.

If American conservatives can’t protect their own country without lying about mine, there’s something seriously wrong in America.

Well, we certainly have established that you’re comfortable with rounding up unfavored folk, and shipping them off to concentration camps. Sure is a mighty ‘flexible’ version of ‘liberty’ that you support.

Remind me not to depend upon your supporting my own liberty.

No, I wouldn't be comfortable with that. As it isn't happening, though, it's irrelevant.

I'm fine with taking people who are likely to die somewhere they can be treated rather than leaving them in utter slums in the middle of the desert to die.

Apparently, you would be fine with that scenario?

Of course, you wouldn't. That's also an exaggeration on the other side based on the same facts. But it's closer to reality than your scenario.

Ideally, I would prefer these people were given support and treatment in situ. But the costs of doing that would be much higher, and it would take much longer. Logistically speaking, it's not a practical solution at this point.

You want to condemn the Northern Territory for not making sure over a year into this pandemic that they don't have a better plan - I'd join that condemnation. But this is the current situation and it has to be dealt with as it is, not as we wish it could be.

Maybe if you understood the situation better.

This is the interior of a typical home in Rockhole - shared by eight people.

A closer view.

Would you leave sick people, or those at serious risk of becoming sick here?

It's the people who aren't being moved that I'm most worried about.

And understand the temperature here is over 40C - over 104F.

Do these people look like they have reliable airconditioning?

I can understand people wanting to sleep outside, under the stars, breathing fresh air, especially when they’ve always done it.

Probably a lot healthier and less conducive to transmission of disease than if they were all crammed into a small shack.

oh, that’s ok then. poor folk, and ‘people of color’ don’t have any actual rights as human beings. Yeah, go ahead and cart them off to your concentration camps because they might have the flu.

I have been involved in advocating for the rights of indigenous Australians since I was 10 years old.

You know nothing about Australia. And you revel in your ignorance.

All people should be flown to the US. Just yesterday a request was sent out for support of the Afghanistan arrivals, clothing etc. In a resort in VA. The “refugees” should be sent to Southampton, San Francisco and Falls Church.

I had a friend who passed away some years ago who was a follower of La Rouche. I thought he was nuts for listening to his theories, but I did give an ear when he spoke about the British royalty.

I realize my friend was on to something. My friend had been an Air Force brat and had lived in Germany for a time and in Britian.

He had also been an artillery sergeant in Vietnam, always was armed where ever he went. Sometimes I put that down to PTSD, which at times he did seek treatment for. "Paul'' told me so much I never realized. Like how the Nazis were Leftists, how the NY Times was the worst news organization on the planet and how someday, without firing a shot, the "Bilderbergers'' would destroy freedoms across the globe on the pretext of some made up crisis like a natural disaster or a pandemic. He died few years ago. Everything he told me appears to be coming true.

Not sure what is going to happen. Its clear the deep state is panicking and doubling down as they always do. At what point does it brake down. I wish i knew

La Rouche was tame compared to David Icke. Listening to Icke on most issues I've found him logical and well reasoned. When it came to Alien's from different worlds harvesting humans for food and ruling our planet I still can't believe it. Though it makes me pause with what is taking place now.

That’s a funny kind of quarantine camp with no fences or barbed wire circling it. And trees between the buildings. And only a parking lot with some civilian cars in it.

Sorry, only just saw these two messages.

OK, looking at #93 - that's an interesting post.

There's some stuff in it that I think makes sense. There's other stuff that I think is overly conspiratorial (and I acknowledge the person who posted the message is only passing some of that stuff on, doesn't necessarily mean they agree with all of it). I'll try and disect.

In 2007, our local Crown Prosecutor (equivalent to your DA’s) went on the national broadcaster to highlight the crimes that were being committed in remote communities – particularly crimes against children. The federal government’s response was to send in the army to do health checks on community members – the outrage from the activist classes was to vilify anyone who supported the intervention. & yet today – there are crickets. Not a word not a whisper from our Land Councils who have the power to stop this.

This is more or less true - I actually had a little involvement on the edges of the intervention myself (in the area of education, not health care, but it overlapped). In my view, it represented a genuine attempt the conservative Federal government of the time (lead by John Howard as PM) to try and address some deep rooted problems in isolated indigenous communities and it was roundly attacked by the left in Australia as paternalistic interference. Personally I think those particular socialists had their heads up their own nether regions - the type of people who are more concerned with being politically correct than dealing with real problems.

If you want to read what I regard as a decent summary of the intervention (that's the official name) you can find one here.

It's not perfect by any means but it does represent a genuine effort to fix real problems that haven't been fixed by over fifty years of other approaches.

Why aren't the Land Councils protesting what is happening? Probably because they agree with it - in my experience, the people in charge of the Land Councils are sensible people who support intervention that will protect people. But it's wrong to say they have the power to stop it.

Theory from my Aboriginal brother’s & sister’s in remote communities is that the aim is to force people out of their communities, that the vaccines are going to be used to ‘kill’ off the elders. Once that happens, the song lines, the stories and connection to ‘country’ will be lost & therefore Native Title, which protects sacred sites from mining and gives ownership of the land to the Aboriginal people will be extinquished.

This is pure conspiracy theory in my view. There is no plan to 'kill off' anybody. But given history, I can understand why some indigenous people might believe that. It also completely misunderstands how Native Title works - the connection to the land described is important in establishing a Native Title claim initially, but once the claim is established, it's not at risk of being lost even if that connection ended. Native Title also doesn't block mining - so extinguishing it isn't required to allow mines anyway.

It is interesting that the community of Robinson River is one of the places where people are being forced into the ‘Centre for National Resilience’ – that’s what they are calling the COVID camps here. (Also interesting to note a tender appeared on the NT Government website yesterday calling for the provision of facility management services for a period of 6 months – the price tag $80M – $100M)

This seems pretty accurate - except the term 'COVID camp' is, in my view, alarmist and misleading. I also don't know about the tender advertisement, but see no reason to doubt it.

Why is Robinson River notable? Big mine in the area – Lead, Zinc & Silver…The whole of the NT is a gigantic mineral deposit – with gold, uranium, rare earths, salt – the list goes on. Most areas can’t be ‘mined’ because of Native Title.

Somewhat true. Robinson River is near large mineral deposits. The whole of the NT - maybe. We just don't know exactly what is out there, but certainly parts of it are mineral rich. But again, Native Title does not block mining - some other types of land rights can, but not Native Title.

Gunner is a very desperate man, his rantings are getting more & more unhinged & it is obvious that he has missed his target. Officials keep saying that there is 80 – 90% vax rate in the NT – I’m calling BS on that.

Overall, the current double dose vaccination rate for adults in the Northern Territory is 84%. I see absolutely no good reason to doubt that number. There are certainly parts of the NT where the number is much lower, but the average, heavily influenced by Darwin, where 60% of the population is, is 84%.
