.

I didn't realize how bad Xanadu was until my wife and I watched it again last year.

We watched it back in 1980. ONJ was HOT.

For the love of pete.

I suppose he never watched the whole movie and missed the last part.

You know, the part where the guys with guns save Swayze's butt.

Hey what about this gem, “Killer Klowns from Outer Space”?

If you're going to mention that, I have to include "Attack of the Killer Tomatos".

“Romy And Michelle’s High School Reunion”. It’s terrible, but we never miss it when it’s on.

Michelle : What are you picking on us for any way? We are NOT the ones who got fat.

Christie : We're pregnant, you half-wit.

Michelle : Oh yeah? Well, I hope your babies look like monkeys!

Some movies are trying to be something other or different or more than movies. “Xanadu” was like that. And so — but in a very different way — were “Heaven’s Gate” and some of Terrence Malick’s movies.

Do you mean the 1967 Casino Royale? That was another film trying to be something different from an actual movie. Somehow the producers got the rights to the book, figured the would make a fortune, and just wanted to have fun. The plot made zero sense, but it was a lot of fun.

If the movie has the name Coleman Francis associated with it....it’s bad.

I want to start watching older movies that I have never seen because all of the movies in the last ten years pretty much suck. Anyone ever seen a movie called Snow Job? I remember watching it as a rerun in the early eighties on tv, but thought it was entertaining. Probably biased because I like ski movies, but would like to rewatch and see how bad it was.

Plan 9 from Outer space seems to be the ongoing winner by consensus.

But I think it is because not enough bad movie fans have ever seen R.O.T.O.R.

A wonder to behold in the category of films so bad they’re good.

Here’s the official trailer:
