For the most part, I don’t buy the premise that movies can be so bad, they’re actually good. If a movie’s good, isn’t it just...good? There’s no question, however, that movies can succeed by failing. Ed Wood is an extreme-but-perfect example of a filmmaker who never achieved precisely what he set out to do with any of his movies, but who nonetheless made cinematic magic out of enthusiasm, shamelessness, and no small measure of self-delusion. That kind of thing is always better than something like Sharknado—a movie that’s fun, but that works so hard to achieve silliness that you can see the flop sweat. Other, more enjoyable (better?) “bad” movies get there quite by accident.
For me, I’d almost always rather watch an interesting failure than a boring success—sometimes because passion is contagious, and just as often because a true WTF-level debacle is a rare and glorious thing. Here are 20 of them.

I didn't realize how bad Xanadu was until my wife and I watched it again last year.
We watched it back in 1980. ONJ was HOT.
I suppose he never watched the whole movie and missed the last part.
You know, the part where the guys with guns save Swayze's butt.
If you're going to mention that, I have to include "Attack of the Killer Tomatos".
That was great...especially the very end (Ghost)!
“…I didn’t hit her! I didn’t!; I did nooooooot!…. Oh, hi, Mark…”
They Saved Hitler’s Brain
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! It’s a classic..
Michelle : What are you picking on us for any way? We are NOT the ones who got fat.
Christie : We're pregnant, you half-wit.
Michelle : Oh yeah? Well, I hope your babies look like monkeys!
Some movies are trying to be something other or different or more than movies. “Xanadu” was like that. And so — but in a very different way — were “Heaven’s Gate” and some of Terrence Malick’s movies.
The Trial of Billy Jack….
Sad it took 41 post for someone to mention Manos....the HANDS of Fate. :D
If the movie has the name Coleman Francis associated with it....it’s bad.

I want to start watching older movies that I have never seen because all of the movies in the last ten years pretty much suck. Anyone ever seen a movie called Snow Job? I remember watching it as a rerun in the early eighties on tv, but thought it was entertaining. Probably biased because I like ski movies, but would like to rewatch and see how bad it was.
MST3K did dig up some good ones.
John Dies At The End.
Plan 9 from Outer space seems to be the ongoing winner by consensus.
But I think it is because not enough bad movie fans have ever seen R.O.T.O.R.
A wonder to behold in the category of films so bad they’re good.
