So not clear ...
If phone says LTE does that mean 4G ?
Or could that be the 3G that’s being killed.
To: George from New England
If it says LTE that means 4G signal.
The 3G is going away.
Your phone will still use 4G where available, but have no service at all where it previously used 3G.

“This will bring about the return of the landline as a backup”
I disagree ... killing landlines are the over 100% taxes and fees levied on them over the last 50 years.

All zeks must get tracking/monitoring/spying devices. Which will soonafter become a requirement to also always carry your tracking device and a felony to disable its spying capabilities.

Used to be we said, the hardware drives the software.
Now I’m not sure if the hardware is driving the software, or the hardware is driving the hardware.

A good dose of “Good Idea Fairy” dust too.
Someone somewhere got a case of skull flatulence and said “yeah, let’s do this since it will be BETTER!”

Sarcasm is most cutting when serious matters are at hand. I disagree. It can make something serious seem frivolous.

No excuses for emergency services, they knew, but did not prioritize correctly.

A ten-fold increase in speed is not fairy dust. Do you think they’re sending hundreds of millions to upgrade their networks just to piss people off?

No excuses for emergency services, they knew, but did not prioritize correctly. Incorrect. Covid and lockdowns knocked out any plans they made

AT&T replaced my old $100 walmart Samsung with an off-brand $39 piece of garbage that seems to already be broken. Picture taking is almost impossible, and I cannot send G-Mail out.

Go on ebay and find a newer, but not newest phone for a lot less.
I bought a new in box iphone 6s for $165.
Redpocket will give you cell service for varying rates from $8.25 a month on an annual plan to unlimited with 3gb @highest speeds for $20.00 a month or unlimited 10gb @highest speeds for $30 a month.
Pick which network, T-Mobile, Verizon or ATT, they send you a sim card and even a tech neanderthal like me can activate it.
