Decay-Instability of Transmutated Chemical Elements Obtained in LENR Experiment
A. Klimov Power Engineering Technical University, Moscow, Russia klimov.anatoly@gmail.com
It is well-known that there are chemical element transmutation and isotope composition changes in LENR experiments [1-3]. Time evolution of the transmutated chemical elements and their decay-instability have been studied in this work.
The new transmutated chemical elements (Fe, Cu, Ca…) were obtained from the initial cathode material Ni (0,9999) in plasma-water reactor by a pulsed repetitive electric discharge (Id ~100 A, ti ~10 µs, Fi ~2 кHz), [1,2].
The chemical compositions of these initial elements and transmutated ones were measured by EDS method and ICP-MS method. It was revealed that there is considerable decay-instability of these transmutated chemical elements at the time.
This instability was accelerated dramatically by external weakly ionized plasma action (WIP, Ne/Na ~10^-6), figure 1. One can see from this figure that the relative concentration of the initial Ni atoms (cathode material) is not changed, but the relative ones of exposed electrode and the relative ones of dusty erosive cathode particles are dramatically decreased.
Author supposes that theoretical model of bi-nuclear atom [4] can explain the obtained experimental results.

Me not understand.
Not picking a fight, serious question.
Have any of the substantial experiments involving LENR been reproduced by other, not related parties?
I can always tell the Kevmo threads because I don’t even understand the title:)
How many times has the Pons-Fleischmann Anomalous Heating Event been replicated in peer reviewed journals?

According to Jed Rothwell
The first ~100 replications came in from a veritable Who’s Who of electrochemistry.
Look, it’s quite simple. It’s science, and stuff. Even Penny gets it.
Thanks. That will take a lot of time to go over.
I haven’t followed these threads in a long time, but I definitely do not trust Rossi. No clue if he’s still around.
Thank you for the link.
I stopped following Rossi about a decade ago. He’s a tinkerer trying to become a trillionaire, not a scientist. He came up with his own metric to judge him by: “In Mercato Veritas”. Since he’s got nothing in mercato there is no veritas. If he succeeds, cool.
Gotcha. Like I said, it’s been a long time.
The artificial production of gold is the age-old dream of the alchemists. It is possible in particle accelerators or nuclear reactors. Since there is only one stable gold isotope, Au-197, nuclear reactions must create this isotope in order to produce usable gold.
In a nuclear reactor gold can be manufactured by irradiation of platinum or mercury. Since platinum is more expensive than gold, platinum is economically unsuitable as a raw material. Only the mercury isotope Hg-196, which occurs with a frequency of 0.15% in natural mercury, can be converted to gold by neutron capture, and following K+- decay into Au-197 with slow neutrons.
Other mercury isotopes are converted when irradiated with slow neutrons into one another or formed mercury isotopes, which beta decay into thallium. Using fast neutrons, the mercury isotope Hg-198, which is contained to 9.97% in natural mercury, can be converted by splitting off a neutron and becoming Hg-197, which then disintegrates to stable gold.
This reaction, however, possesses a smaller activation cross-section and is feasible only with un-moderated reactors. It is also possible to eject several neutrons with very high energy into the other mercury isotopes in order to get the Hg-197. However such high-energy neutrons can be produced only by particle accelerators
But you can print ballots, or federal reserve notes
Bummer....
They won’t download the PDF so I can read the actual paper...

Something is going on in this segment of science. There are a considerable number of research groups studying the matter. -Sidebar Moderator
Even as cheap as LENR is likely to be, it still won’t be cost-effective to convert some metal to gold. The real gold will be cheap energy.
The huge amount of evidence from LENR research says that transmutation does NOT rely on neutrons.

Energy Release and Transmutation of Chemical Elements in Cold Heterogeneous Plasmoids
A. Klimov
Published 2016
Our main experimental results from excess energy release (COP >1) in cold heterogeneous (nano-cluster) plasmoid are considered and analyzed in this work. These experimental results were obtained by our team during the last 20 years. The main results may be divided into four groups. (1) Excess energy release behind shock wave in a non-equilibrium heterogeneous plasma and plasma precursor creation before its front was revealed in our experiment. This measured energy is much higher than the electric energy consumed by the plasma, COP∼ 4–10. This excess energy is estimated by measured gas density and pressure behind shock wave, its propagation velocity in plasma, and by using gas dynamics conservation laws. (2) A systematic study of new chemical element creation in water by cold heterogeneous plasmoids was performed. The plasmoids are created by RF discharge over water surface. The plasmoid’s chemical composition is determined by optical spectroscopy. The chemical compositions of water and its sediment are studied by independent diagnostic methods: IR spectroscopy, atomic absorption spectroscopy, ion mass spectroscopy, chemical analysis and micro-X-ray spectroscopy. We observed optical lines of the H, Li, K, Ca, OH-molecular bands, CaO-molecular bands and unknown molecular bands inside red plasmoids. The Li concentration and the Ca concentration are increased in a water sample by factor 10 − 10. It is very important that the isotopic composition of the lithium is dramatically changed in this experiment. To be precise, it is possible these new elements are created by RF plasmoid in water. (3) The energy release inside heterogeneous plasmoid in swirl gas flow was measured. The measured COP is about 2–4 in this experiment. c ⃝ 2016 ISCMNS. All rights reserved. ISSN 2227-3123
Haven’t heard from you guys for a while. Will this change things?
I like how this guy is focused on Transmutations. That’s PROOF that it’s a nuclear reaction. Here’s a link for LENR transmutation articles on Free Republic...
