The Broyles of Tennessee were visiting Yellowstone National Park where they got an unexpected welcome on the park’s entrance road.

A herd of bison, estimated to number around 150, sauntered down the highway stopping traffic and engulfing the Broyles’ SUV, all captured on video.

I've been in similar situations and it's neat but also a bit intimidating.

Bison are dangerous wild animals. There’s a reason bison farms have 8’ fencing

I wouldn’t call their reaction flipped out. More like in awe.

Weird question, but why is the road still clean?

I worked at a ranch that had bison. They would walk through a 5000 volt electric fence just breaking the wires.

At least they were smart enough to avoid getting "pantsed" by the bison, unlike this dumb cluck:

Here’s another dangerous animal. This was yesterday in Estes Park, Colorado. This man was lucky, though stupid

NBC News, thats wants to get rid of Cows - because Methane and Climate Change, today lamented there wasn’t vast herds of Millions of Bison roaming the American prairie, and wished that this would some day happen again.

The MSM can’t put 2 and 2 together.

All those people standing on the road were lucky that the attack didn’t start a stampede in their direction. People are idiots.

I've been in similar situations and it's neat but also a bit intimidating.

I had something similar happen to me while visiting Rocky Mt. National Park in Colorado. I was observing a large herd of elk grazing from at least 100 feet away, behind a guardrail. Gradually, the herd began to surround me. I was not in a car, I was simply standing there enjoying the magnificent view. I never knew, for example, that tiny calves made a mewing sound. I saw an elk cow stomp a coyote trying to move in on her baby. I was enthralled, but kept backing up over and over again to avoid being surrounded. The herd bull, with a rack as big as an armchair, was only about 50' from me at one point, but totally calm. He knew I was there, and knew I presented no harm. Then, some additional people arrived, ones with no clue about wild animals. I told them to back off when they ignorantly tried to approach the herd closer, that these were wild animals and this was not a zoo. Suddenly, I heard a sonorous voice in my ear saying, "Ma'am, you may have just saved some lives." I looked up, and a tree-tall Park Ranger was straightening up after his remark to me. I knew that the noisy presence of these additional people meant the end of my elk enjoyment, so I left. I will never forget that wonderful experience.

Tell them those aren't cows, they're aurochs.

I’m disappointed when I go to Yellowstone if I don’t see this. Almost always you get into a bison jam. And they hang around the lodge and cabins at times. Not dangerous if you use common sense. They get sketchy around rutting season though.
