Bison are dangerous wild animals. There’s a reason bison farms have 8’ fencing
Weird question, but why is the road still clean?
That was amazing .
NBC News, thats wants to get rid of Cows - because Methane and Climate Change, today lamented there wasn’t vast herds of Millions of Bison roaming the American prairie, and wished that this would some day happen again.
The MSM can’t put 2 and 2 together.
I had something similar happen to me while visiting Rocky Mt. National Park in Colorado. I was observing a large herd of elk grazing from at least 100 feet away, behind a guardrail. Gradually, the herd began to surround me. I was not in a car, I was simply standing there enjoying the magnificent view. I never knew, for example, that tiny calves made a mewing sound. I saw an elk cow stomp a coyote trying to move in on her baby. I was enthralled, but kept backing up over and over again to avoid being surrounded. The herd bull, with a rack as big as an armchair, was only about 50' from me at one point, but totally calm. He knew I was there, and knew I presented no harm. Then, some additional people arrived, ones with no clue about wild animals. I told them to back off when they ignorantly tried to approach the herd closer, that these were wild animals and this was not a zoo. Suddenly, I heard a sonorous voice in my ear saying, "Ma'am, you may have just saved some lives." I looked up, and a tree-tall Park Ranger was straightening up after his remark to me. I knew that the noisy presence of these additional people meant the end of my elk enjoyment, so I left. I will never forget that wonderful experience.
Did anyone try to roller skate in this situation?
I’m disappointed when I go to Yellowstone if I don’t see this. Almost always you get into a bison jam. And they hang around the lodge and cabins at times. Not dangerous if you use common sense. They get sketchy around rutting season though.
Been there.....have pictures
Just have to wait it out, they were there first
There’s a great campground there.....one was walking around outside our camper
They own the place
They walk around the front yards of homes
I want to report a group of bison.
Herd.
What?
Herd of bison.
Of course I’ve heard of bison. I’m in a crowd of them right now!
About a hundred thousand buffalo burgers...
Glad the drivers didn’t decide to honk their car horns at them...
Isn’t this a daily occurrence in Yellowstone? I thought it was some tourist who was high on someting getting surrounded by buffalo because of her odd behavior.
I have been surrounded by the Wind Cave bison herd in South Dakota. It’s quite intimidating.
Also was surrounded by a passing elephant herd when I was in the Serengeti years ago.
Saw them like that at Custer State Park in South Dakota, got some great photos from 2 feet away out the car window. Estimated the herd at 400.
Omg, that’s one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen things like that, but not that many animals, and not for that long. Their Southern accents made it even more entertaining, and I’m glad they filmed and shared this with the world.
Impressive animals. Survivors of the Ice Age which included woolly mammoths, and woolly rhinos.
I was cruising the Custer State PPark roads in the black hill of SD when I had to stop for a bunch of tourist cars.
The buffalo had decided to lay down on the road and no one seemed to know what to do.
I sat there for a moment, nothing happened so I jumped out of the car and chased them off the highway.
Y’@ll should have seen the look of surprise on most of their faces
