Zoe Snoeks slipped off the precipice near the village of Nadrin in the province of Luxembourg on Tuesday and landed in the Ourthe River, Newsflash reported, citing the public prosecutor’s office.
Her body was recovered by a team of rescuers that included police, firefighters, scuba divers and members of the Groupe de Recherche et d’Intervention en Milieu Perilleux, or Perilous Environment Reconnaissance and Intervention Group.
“Taking photos was her passion. I immediately unlocked her phone and saw that she had taken a photo on the cliff edge. Her very last selfie,” the grieving hubby said.
“Zoe is looking straight ahead. You can also see the mist and the river where they finally found her body,” he added.

Well, whatever.
If this is a real story, I hope she rests in peace.
DARWIN AWARD WINNER!
I never understand the selfie thing
Maybe he can bury her last photo and the phone with her or take that last selfie.
That really her!
What a waste of a great rack.
No...usually of the few taken, my husband takes it...we’re both in it.
Well then you are definitely the exception to the rule
She died doing what she loved!? Taking pictures ….. of herself.
Pretty sad story.
RIP Zoe (which BTW means “life” in Greek)!
I understand that, but these statements from the husband have my BS meter off the charts:
He said his wife snapped photos on the edge of the cliff when “she told me to look out for the dogs. “I turned to the dogs and told them to wait. When I turned back to Zoe, she was no longer there. She had just vanished. It must have happened in less than five seconds,” Janssen said. “I didn’t see or hear anything. No rustling, no screams or shouts. I looked up and saw only dust,” he said. “I called her even though I knew it was hopeless. The chasm was several tens of meters deep. “I immediately called the emergency services, but had almost no network. They didn’t understand me, even though I speak a little French,” he said, adding that he rushed to the nearby Le Belvedere Hotel to seek help.
Could be true...could also be the perfect crime.
Yeah
but what is really interesting is the knee-jerk responses from people to assume the husband murdered her
when they rarely assume a wife murders her husband in the same kind of scenario, but it also does occur
perhaps they intuitively know women who want to murder their husbands typically get their male lover to do it for them
“That ain’t a selfie”
Exactly. She “slipped”, and Gabby Petitio strangled herself.
“Step back honey”
My first thought too
She was in an area of rugged rock cliffs maybe 10 miles north of Bastogne. You can see pics on Google maps, “Le Hérou - Le Parc naturel des deux Ourthes”
That's nuts.
Some other freeper made the quip months ago:
“Wouldn’t it be better to die doing something you hate?
.
.
Then you wouldn’t have to do it anymore.”
“That’s nuts.”
Snort! dfwMcAuliffe!
“That’s nuts.”
Thank you, General McAuliffe... 😏
