The battle was a training exercising but the ramifications of the loss, which reveals the damage progressives have inflicted on the military, are extremely serious.
For many Americans, the Marines occupy an almost mythic place in their minds as an invincible force that runs to the guns and fights no matter what. That’s why it was so shocking to learn that, during a joint training exercise in the Mojave Desert, Britain’s Royal Marines inflicted such a shellacking on the Americans that the latter had to surrender halfway through the exercise. This is a direct result of the Pentagon having gone woke under Obama—something that Trump failed to undo—followed by Biden doubling down on Obama’s policies.
Marines used to be synonymous with dogged determination. Tripoli (1805), the Halls of Montezuma (1847), Belleau Wood (1918), Guadalcanal (1943), Iwo Jima (1945), Inchon (1950), Chosin Reservoir (1950),

But the Marines have been in war non-stop since 2001 and that’s a long time for a fighting force. At a certain point, rather than experience building them up and strengthening them, non-stop war wears men down. They lose their edge and their fire.
The American military has had another force bearing down on it that may be an even greater enemy than Islamists the world over. That force has been wokeism. Beginning with Obama, the American left has been using the military as a social justice experiment. According to James Hasson, author of Stand Down: How Social Justice Warriors Are Sabotaging America’s Military, Obama purged the officer class of old-timers and brought in progressive ideologues.
Under their aegis, Navy ships went green (when they were just meant to be mean) and bore the names of well-known leftists (gay-rights advocate and pederast Harvey Milk and socialist activist Cesar Chavez, who happened to hate illegal immigrants).

Do you mean their tough bullies beat up on our gays and transgenders?
The Brits are noted faggots. I guess it was a contest to see who were the biggest fruits.
I’d like those limeys come up to my neck of the woods. It ain’t too far from the Mojave. We’d show them a real good time. Redneck style.
The old “hey diddle, diddle, right up the middle “ didn’t work this time?
Cue various Monty Python sketches...
The exceptions occur when there is money at stake in a military budget that can line their pockets or the pockets of their allies. Otherwise, you can count on them to support enemies of this Republic, even (or especially) those that openly boast of murdering our citizens and military personnel.
All these things, God, Family, Country, Honor, Respect, Patriotism, Tradition, Masculine Strength, fighting for the person next to you, these are core values long held by the American Military.
And that is why the Left has a venomous and malignant distaste for the Military. It is why, since Obama took office, they have been purging the ranks, top to bottom, of anyone holding fealty to these core values above and replacing them with people who bow at the altar of Leftism. Anyone who pays attention to these things has seen the direction the Left has been moving in.
And that is why we see an exercise like this turn out the way that it has.
I guess our marines have done did the rest beyond the stopping of the ad that they were looking for a few good Men. If you ain’t first you’re last.
Thanks brandon
The British Marines in this exercise weren’t just everyday RM’s, but rather special forces. British Marine Commandos.
Put regular Royal Marines up against the Navy Seals or Force Recon and you might have a different result.
In any case, the exercise is a great way to learn lessons and why such things are done. Troops learning, even in a defeat in a realistic war game, is a hella lot better than in real war.
General George Patton honed his unique skills in the Louisiana Maneuvers of 1940 and those games, in which 400K US Army troops played, were absolutely vital to WWII success, even though Patton’s forces cleaned everyone’s clock.
Well, the Royal Marines are no slouches; never have been.
Monty Python. They had some great skits. John Cleese was a comedic genius (remember Fawlty Towers?).
HS, I think you missed the point of the post.
Training exercises give valuable lessons and experience. They reveal flawed doctrine and training gaps.
In this case the exercise may also have proven the value of a new doctrine.
Like the WW2 wargaming of anti-sub warfare, or the way the Prussians used Kriegspiel to model their extraordinarily decisive war with the French.
In any case, no-one should feel sore about it. It’s not a ‘British victory’, it’s a win for everybody involved. Learn the lesson(s), come back stronger.
The enemy will probably wait until our admirals and generals are painting their fingernails.
Well, I applaud the articles pushback against recent erosion of US forces.
But I don’t think this exercise was lost due to transexual generals and soldiers with high-heels.
There was some novel force structure used by the Royal Marines. Other FReepers may have the details.
This is the third or fourth thread posted on this topic...just saying.
This particular article was new to me though.
The 1st one on FR was a rather jingoistic Daily Mail article, which did at least have photos.
One of the best learning experiences I had as a butterbar was flunking my first tac eval. Valuable lessons were learned, and it turned me into a very capable platoon leader, and beyond.
I also don’t think THIS exercise was lost due to our new transsexual admiral. But putting tranny people in a military leadership position (like the tranny admiral with deputy health secretary background) just because they are tranny will cause our future defeat if it is continued. It is totally insane.
