They will nuke themselves before they nuke us.

Yes, that could likely be a start of Cold War II. They are not signatories of SALT treaties so throw weight and warhead size and numbers are not limited.

The silos may not be for ICBM class weapons but, that has been a traditional basing mode used by the US and Russia for ICBMs. However China may be fielding IRBMs as a threat to Japan and India. India is the only counterthreat in that arena.

In order for the Chinese military to be internationally relevant, they will need a credible strategic strike component that they currently lack...until 2030??

They probably hired the hundreds of nuclear physicists and engineers that you idiots (Milley) just fired at Los Alamos.

Idiot democrats disarmed in an agreement with Russia, without including China.

Hell I knew the Chinese would build a huge arsenal, but every mainstream idiot and our military kept saying “Oh no worries z cons just wants to maintain a modest deterrent.”

Now they finally woke up. This is what we might need to spend trillions on.

They don’t lack anything and I don’t give a damn about them being “strategically relevant”.

“India can cut off China’s oil imports very easily.”

Even Gen. Milley can see that, and he’s an idiot. India’s perfectly positioned at the exits to all the straits into the Indian Ocean. They could block China’s trade with the Persian Gulf very cheaply and it would require enormous effort and resources for China to force the straits and keep them open.

Landbased missile silos are a target. The US Minuteman fields are what as known as “Ducks on a Pond”. Those missiles are not going to survive a first strike. Well, a few might. But the USN SLBM force — that’s impossible to stop. China is flipping our strategy against us by providing a target big enough that we’d have to fire the bulk of our missiles into a thinly populated wasteland leaving very few left for other strategic targets.

And why would the Pentagram release this? They keep everything else a secret.

The 50 IQ ChiComms still haven’t figured out how to land a plane on an aircraft carrier.

We can move from that onto the ChiComms explaining how their bodies were stacked like cordwood after the Indian Gurkhas met them at Ladakh in the summer of 2020.

1,000 nuclear warheads by 2030

More CCP BS. The DF-41 packs 10 MIRVed warheads each. They have 100 road-mobile DF-41s right now (that’s 1000) and are building out 200 silos in the western desert for more DF-41s (that’s an additional 2000. Their 4 “boomers” have still more nuclear IRBMs as do their unclear capable Xian H-6 series. Not to mention shipboard missiles or not yet fielded new tech.

Glad to see that not everyone on the FR thinks that China is invincible.

Even that idiot Milley is Clausewitz compared to a Chinese General.
