Maybe they are trying to say the theory itself isn’t taught in the public schools? I admit I haven’t read the important works, but it seems they are academic and wouldn’t be taught to young schoolchildren.
Recent Wall Street Journal op-ed pointed out that since discrimination based on race is illegal, and discrimination based on academic theory beliefs is not, CRT is being used as a substitute litmus test for would-be professors.
Not sure they are right until I read up on this theory itself. But it does seem that the Dem media are misusing the term when they say it isn’t taught in the public schools. If it were, it would be the first time a newish esoteric education theory was taught to kids.
