The uniparty is what it is. More and more people grasp that every day.
So when can we expect heads to roll, and staff, and jail officials to be criminally charged?
So who is going to be charged for the suffering these patriots endured?

Who is responsible for conditions in the DC jail ?
Is it privately run by a corporation, or is it a Federal facility ?
Or is the D.C. jail operated under to Dept. of Justice, or, under Congress ?
Are employees Federal employees ?
Constitutional lawyers want to know, so that they know whom to sue in civil court !

With the regime talking about settling with “migrant” families separated at the southern border to the tune of $450,000 apiece, one would hope some enterprising attorneys would be chomping at the bit to represent actual US citizens incarcerated under unsanitary conditions and denied food and water. Heck, I wouldn’t even begrudge them exorbitant attorney’s fees.
The WaPo article says the Jan 6 prisoners are staying put. Others are being moved.
Just because the media isn’t reporting it, doesn’t mean it’s not happening. If somebody wasn’t screaming there would have been no surprise inspection.
Real surprise inspections are as numerous as hen’s teeth.

They will not investigate. The last I hear the GOP senators wanted them shot.
If they do investigate it would be why more people were not shot.
I'd say it's the City of Washington's responsibility to oversee the running of their jails, and there are probably Federal health and safety guidelines/standards that must be adhered to, especially if they get Federal funds. When I worked in NY State's prison system, city and county jails were for those awaiting trial, and those whose sentence were a year or less. Anyone who had been sentenced for more than year, had to be removed from the jail holding them, within a certain number of days, or the State or Federal agency that was supposed to take custody, would be fined X amount of dollars a day, for each day they went over the date that custody was supposed to occur.
Not surprising. I occasionally frequent a bar where a bunch of guards from the county jail hangout. Those guys will tell you they are conservatives, but their stories they tell make them sound like a bunch of sadists. Very abusive and inhumane. A lot of people in that jail haven't been to court. I have this little problem these days with a lack of innocent until proven guilty ... and even then proven guilty doesn't deserve abuse.

It will be interesting to find out why misdemeanor charged individuals
are being held in 'Special Housing' criteria with limited access to legal counsel, 1 hour per day outside cells, denial of medical services,etc.,
while they await court appearances.
SHU conditions are generally reserved for unruly, disciplinary inmates in an attempt to have them become more compliant.
I do not know if the Bill of Rights has ever been incorporated against Congress as it has against the several states.
"exclusive legislation" and "all cases whatsoever" had special meanings in 1788, they were drawn directly from what the Founders had called the "Intolerable Acts" passed to define the powers of the King in Parliament over the colonies.
Thomas Paine referred to this language in The American Crisis thusly: "Britain, with an army to enforce her tyranny, has declared that she has a right (not only to TAX) but "to BIND us in ALL CASES WHATSOEVER," and if being bound in that manner, is not slavery, then is there not such a thing as slavery upon earth. Even the expression is impious; for so unlimited a power can belong only to God"
So - the Founders granted a power to Congress very broad in extent and so far undefined by the Supreme Court to "legislate" over DC which remains unchanged to this day.
So, how's moving prisoners around going to solve the problem..? In this situation wouldn't it be a problem with management, and the local workforce..?? How's moving the detainees going to fix a personnel problem.??
