I have a little cookbook, “Clara’s Kitchen” that has wisdom, memories, and recipes from the Great Depression.
It talks about dandelion salads, how to cook dandelion leaves, how to make ketchup to put on your eggplant burgers and how to make a roast chicken last for 4 days.
Might be time to get it out and dust it off.

I’m having much empathy with you.
I have taken allergy meds for 2 straight months and stopped a couple of days ago.
Yesterday I started sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes, coughing from drainage running down throat, really bad this morning but I’m done with meds, don’t like how they make me feel, so I will just suffer and put wp with it.
We need moisture to clear the air and for the wind to stop blowing all the pollen around.
The “science” did that to eggs too.

I quit taking allergy meds when I quit working. Eating hot spicy food works pretty good. I think I’ll get some hot and sour soup today. Put jalapenos on a tuna sandwich.

My sad truth is that I am a VERY boring person. Hubs is also boring and together we are the most boringiest people of them all.
Dolly has been cooking for us, but as soon as she came, the hubs and I went to the Auburn game. She was in bed when we came back. Then, Sunday morn, we went off to church. Came back and chatted, but didn’t do much. Then, I worked all day yesterday. I’m working today. I’m hoping to leave a bit early so we can visit and tour the area today. I finish work Friday. No more football games until our bowl game. So, there is a bit of time.
Everything is fine, lysie.
Internal clock got screwed up.
Was able to get some more sleep this morning.

My side of the family is both opinionated and dramatic. We tend to have a high and erroneous sense of our accomplishments. Hubs and I have turned our backs, for the most part, on that drama. But, hubs and I don’t do adventurous stuff ... usually. We do a lot of sitting, internet reading, and puttering around the house.
My daughter said, as an insult, that I am Dull, Boring, and Hopelessly Old-Fashioned. I said thank you and have claimed it ever since.
I wish someone would ask Joe why they are letting in illegals while creating a stir about some virus!!!!!!!!
