I would encourage her boyfriend to take a long, hard look at Jesus, the Perfect Jew. Many Jews distrust Jesus because we followers of Christ have committed atrocities against them in His name. But, others have realized that He is the perfect embodiment of the Jewish sacrificial system; that all the sacrifices, feasts, and fasts were shadows highlighting a facet of the ministry of Jesus.
When the High Priest finishes his work in the Holy of Holies on Yom Kippur, the people celebrate because their sins of the past year are forgiven. Jesus, the Great High Priest, sits down because the work is finished. The veil, separating the people from the Holy of Holies, preventing man’s communication directly with God, was torn in two when Christ became the perfect sacrifice and perfectly completed, finished the work. There is now no need for sacrifices or fastings. That is done!
I am concerned, too, about your granddaughter’s proposed conversion. Because that shows me she doesn’t understand the ministry of Jesus.
I do think that heaven is open, freely, as a gift to anyone of any faith. That Moslems, and Hindus, and Jews, and even those born to Christian families, can all enter into communication and life with God. BUT, it must be done by accepting the sacrificial death of Jesus.
Slight detour, one of my favorite shows was Longmire. The episode where Longmire performed the Sundance and said he had to make attrition for the wrongs he committed sorrowed me. I wanted to tell him that yes, the wrong we all commit must be absolved. BUT, we, no human can possibly make enough sacrifices or acts of penitence to atone for our wrongs. However, don’t worry. Jesus did make full atonement and the penalty HAS ALREADY BEEN PAID! We just have to accept the gift freely and lovingly given.
That is what I see your granddaughter giving up. And it scares the hell out of me. Literally.
I get preachy about this. So many people don’t understand. They want to keep working at it. Yes, we should be better people. But, we don’t even live up to our own personal standards. How in the world can we live up to God’s righteousness? We can’t. Just accept it. And accept His gift.

I watched President Trump last night on Levin's show. WHAT a difference between him and Bydone!! No stammering. Along with his words , his facial expression showed just how much he loves our country.
And “THEY” said President Trump didn’t act Presidential!
I say to “THEM,” thank the good Lord that Trump worked to make America better and we saw that he was doing it, we miss his unPresidential style and want it back.
I say Bye-done has no clue as to acting Presidential, now a Dictator he has down pat.
Of course, we knew they would.
Let’s hope that Robert Caron and the 400 have given Durham the info they have uncovered and Durham will act on it.
