The suspects are a man and woman who spoke English and gave staff the impression of being a refined couple who checked into the hotel and dined at its restaurant. They then asked a hotel front desk clerk to serve them more food and when he went to the kitchen —- leaving security camera monitors unattended — the man slipped into the cellar and stole the bottles, Polo said.
The couple checked out in the early hours of Wednesday, paying with a credit card and leaving with bags full of bottles.
Polo said no one noticed their booty, which included the valuable 1806 Chateau d’Yquem and at least six other 19th-century bottles from the exclusive Romanée-Conti winemaker in France’s Burgundy region. He said that he had not calculated the total value of the stolen bottles, which were insured...

Sounds like the “thief” and the insured party were in cahoots to file an insurance claim.
See? THIS is what gives us Preppers a bad name, LOL! :)
Something is fishy

Nix from Band of Brothers?
Ahhhh that’s nuttin’. Our leftard thieves stole a presidency. Stealing old fermented bottles of grape juice is for amateurs.
If we’d only known then what we now know about Alec Baldwin...we’d have hated the 1994 version even more.
AND... if there’s ever a Bullitt remake..I’m burning my TV.
Well, since they paid with a credit card, we’ll assume it wasn’t theirs....
My favorite Steve McQueen movie is “The Blob” :)
Never saw the remake but I had no desire to watch it. Will watch the first one every time it comes on and still WONDER what the plot was about at the end. I know what the telegram said but don’t know what it meant - “or sell the car and keep the money???” Have looked it up several times but am still puzzled by the ending - in particular, WHAT CAR? Did he NOT WANT her to follow? Great, great movie - two splendid actors!
The progressive mind on display… hard to break an established pattern..
The answer to many of the questions may be the fact that the bottles were insured.
Hah...I was 7 years old when that came out. I’ve seen it but I couldn’t have told you Steve McQueen was in it. I learn something new every day.
Definitely sounds like an inside job to me. The man slipping down to the wine cellar while the waiter left to get more food is just the cover story. It would take time for him to go through the wine cellar by himself and find the most valuable wines from among the others. Also, how could he, by himself, manage to bring all those bottles upstairs without being noticed? As someone else here pointed out, the guy would need at least four large suitcases to carry the bottles. Given the weight and the bulk, he couldn't do it in one trip. My guess is that the wine had already been removed before the couple sat down for dinner. The waiter and the couple were in on it.
Yep...surprised “45” hasn’t been officially blamed yet by the leftists.
Would that be drinkable today?
Had some last night. Didn’t like it - tasted old.
Ha, was not that the intent of your post? Not the first showing of your particular mindset. Leftists generally view themselves as above the rest..
LOL! I’m a leftist? Only in the demented mind of a sick kook/quook.
Next time I’ll type even slower so kooks/quooks like you have a better chance to grasp reality of “mindsets”.
Never ceases to amaze how so many FR kooks/quooks are living in an alternate reality lacking an ability to grasp basic English statements.

Now you really show your ‘primary colors’. I read cleared exactly what you posted…. Not exactly the first time bashing President Trump without cause..
I read the ‘article’, then started reading comments… yours was so far out in left field I wanted you to know I took note… deal with your own exposure before you go all ‘Karen’.
