NEW YORK (WABC) -- NYC mayoral candidate Curtis Sliwa put his campaign on hold Friday to check himself into a hospital after being hit by a cab...

...Sliwa got up and did his radio show. Afterwards he went to Lenox Hill Hospital to be checked out.

It turns out he suffered a fractured right arm but is expected to be released from the hospital later in the evening.

The taxi did not stop but Sliwa didn't consider the incident a hit and run....

He was probably on the 5’th floor in his campaign office, but they ruled it a vehicular accident. Lol

That Taxi that didn’t even stop after hitting Curtis S. can probably be identified. Just call up that cab company and see who uses that city territory.

I wish Curtis a quick recovery. Unfortunately, I don’t think he’s any closer to being elected mayor of NYC than any other times he has run. My belief is until SLiwa removes that Red Beret from his head and campaigns without it, the majority of New Yorkers cannot see him separately from the being the leader of the Guardian Angels and ONLY that character, now stuck in the amber of time.

I remember when he created the Guardian Angels. They would ride the subways and protect the riders from the punks who were constantly harassing the commuters. I think Pitch was the mayor then and he hated the Angels. Notch was more interested in turning the city main avenues into bike lanes as they have in China. Anyway the Angels evolved into a band of thugs themselves and the city had to put a new division of the police dept just to ride the subway. Finally they got all the cops to be under one umrella.
