Rush made a giant mistake by NOT vetting a replacement for years prior to his death. It almost struck me as he did not want to be replaced and therefore did not groom anyone for the position. Was always kind of weird in a way.

I suggest to simply not replace RUSH and let the new guys have at it til one bubbles to the top. As of now I don’t listen to any of those named so far—actually I rarely ever listen too talk radio anymore.

People need to realize that the EIB Network was just for Rush. He didn’t own any stations or timeslots. He just called his brand that when he was syndicated to them. Rush may have been the best syndicated host, but there have been plenty of syndicated hosts for decades who sound just like him. Hannity and Ingraham for example. They copied him.
