And Rush should have developed a succession plan long before he became ill. What we ended up with was a replacement plan and it is not working. Rush was his own brand and I guess there was no room to make his franchise more inclusive of his successor/replacement.
I am loving Jimmy Fialla because of his parodies. Very clever. And, like Rush, he is not a product of post-secondary education. Perhaps "not" going to college should be a requirement of the job.

Rush isn’t really “replaceable”.
In the talk show realm, Rush was a singularity.
No one else brought AM talk radio back from the dead. Strictly just looking at it from the business aspect.

As much as I love Dan’s spirit and presentation, he just doesn’t have the pizzaz and depth that Rush had (who does?). Rush got to the issues beyond “the issue.” He dug much deeper, unlike the surface commentators we almost always hear today.

I turned off my radio the day that Rush died. I haven't turned it on since, and I doubt I'll ever turn it on again.
Like Benjamin Franklin, Rush Limbaugh was a talent that comes along only once in a century. He cannot be replaced.
