The gun supervisor for the film "Rust," on which a crew member was killed after a gun held by actor Alec Baldwin went off during rehearsal, has no idea where the real bullet came from, she says.
Hannah Gutierrez was responding to "untruths that have been told to the media," a statement released Thursday night by her attorneys to NBC News said. They recovered the round that went through the cinematographer and the director-— and went a long way behind them. Great ballistics work— even a deformed round 1/4 mile behind them could be “matched” to whatever was “on the table” Metallurgy of the projectile.

I read earlier that, because of COVID-19 precautions, access to the actual set was very restricted and she was not allowed to physically be on set… just near it.
That may be real information or may just be more fictional stuff people are making up and posting. Since, at this point, we don’t have all the facts I’m reserving judgement on liabilities until more come out. But it’s clear that this movie production was very dysfunctional… at best.

Hollywood has become the biggest proponent of violence there ever.
$100 million lawsuits incoming. Prosecution may or may not happen, depending on the politics of it all. Baldwin is a leftist icon, a member of a protected class.

Baldwin may ‘walk away’ from criminal prosecution, but as someone pointed out, it will be with a “limp” ... civil suits, very likely no insurance payouts (due to not following gun safety protocols for which, as a co-producer, Baldwin is responsible), uninsurable on future projects, etc.
The plot thickens.
You won’t see the rounds in the cylinder on an SAA.
I think by definition, it is part of an Armorers job TO know what kind of bullets are on site, barring uncommon events.
I thought the Assistant Director had been identified as the official fall guy. No need to take a two pointer down with him.
I wonder what the loadings of the other two pistols on the cart reveal. And the rest of the rounds in the fired weapon, as far as that goes.

Baldwin cocked the hammer, aimed the gun, and pulled the trigger. That’s not a “gun being held went off”.
Exactly, he wasn't handling a hand grenade.
I heard (though without other verification) that the fatal bullet was surgically removed from the director rather than having to be found after passing through both victims.
She had ONE job to do...
live rounds is just a red herring as to why the koolaidkow dint do/know how to do her job.
