Will Governments Survive the Coming Peasant Revolt?
American Thinker ^ | 29 Oct, 2021 | J.B. Shurk

Is it any surprise governments are working to turn their citizens against each other, scare them into submission, and trick them into imprisoning themselves?

Let's talk big picture here. Why has the world been turned on its head these last few years? Why does it seem as if everything true is labeled false and everything false is labeled true? Why is it that, even in the absence of all-out global war, everything feels chaotic and uncertain these days? Why is it that at the height of global prosperity and peace, the world is going mad?

What if I were to tell you that what we are experiencing has nothing to do with events currently unfolding in the present and everything to do with a future event that sits just over the horizon? What if I told you that everything the titans of government, finance, and technology do today is in preparation for something they are desperate to prevent tomorrow? What if I told you that this looming disaster for those who hold power now would one day be known as "The Global Revolt of the Peasants"? Would all the craziness around us make a little more sense if you knew that the only thing our "leaders" actually fear is we?

Let's start with three premises:

(1) All governing systems (political, financial, technocratic) operate to preserve and expand their power.

(2) Catastrophic governing failure leads to complete loss of power for those in charge.

(3) Governing systems in the process of failing compensate by eliminating competition and increasing overall control.

In other words, even the most free and dynamic social systems degrade over time as the people who govern those systems distort them in pursuit of greater personal wealth and power. Corrupted systems eventually lead to breakdown and collapse.

I think that with the election of Present Zer0 the corruption reached the tipping point. Trump slowed it down for four years, but now it is back.

Didn’t Jesus say it would be so? What, you calling Him a liar?

Without anything tethering the dollar to real-world assets, the government giddily used the last half-century to print and spend dollars until the value of a dollar today is worth only two cents compared to 1971. Again, those who own assets have seen their wealth in terms of dollars artificially rise, while those who work on salary have suffered, as everything has gotten more expensive.

The author gets some things right, and a lot wrong.

The living standard of the middle class and poor, all over the world, increased significantly. But, there has been an enormous transfer of wealth and power from the United States and Europe to China and the East in general. Much of that was because of the East becoming more Capitalist and tecnologically advanced.

The powerful, which is not a complete overlap with "those with assets" have become almost suicidal in the West as they push the Global Warming idiocy and one world government to consolidate their power.

True, but the reverse is happening now. China is hemorrhaging money back into the US stock market as corrupt Chinese officials try to find a place to stash their skimmed billions. Additionally, money had been moving out of Saudi Arabia as we became energy independent.

The current administrations tactics have been to shore up both of those countries. One is succeeding, SA, and one has failed. Because Newsome didn't get the memo so China is selling nothing at the moment.

Yes, the middle class in the United States and in much of the West is awakening to the fact that many of the ultra wealthy and ruling class have been plotting to do away with them to "save the planet".

Trump and Brexit are part of that awakening.

Xi in China and Biden (Sanders) in the USA are both presently engaged in a war on capitalism and business and wealth.

The goals of Xi and Biden are running parallel........end business and capitalism

The people be damned........ tyrannical government must prevail

There is no law but tyranny

The only peasant revolt would be due to the cessation of entitlement payments. Nothing else would cause any sort of violent uprising...

It really took off during the Sink Emperor’s reign and accelerated throughout W’s bumbling, which of course led to Zero, where “we” wanted a cool president again. Of course the constant behind all of this is Hitlery. We’re an idiotic country.

Absolutely right on the money, Trump was an unforeseen hiccup in the plan. They are now four years behind and desperate to catch up.

It is kind of hard to imagine a peasant revolt occurring while the poorest are the most likely to be obese.

Another possibility in today’s era might be screen entertainment ceasing to function. We now have generations that have no idea how to entertain themselves or even function normally without a screen. I suspect many would suffer psychosis if they didn’t have access to a functioning screen like they have always had. I can picture the streets full of bipedal land whales desperately howling for their phones to function and electronic media to flow again.

If prices are going up, that's because "capitalism is evil" and free markets promote "white supremacy" and "patriarchy." "Equity" is the answer, of course, and only government can provide the "equity" the people need. Don't you know that private industry and ownership are ruining the planet? It's true! Consumerism is boiling the world, and we're all going to die unless we willfully return to the living standards of the Middle Ages. Experts say so!

This paragraph contains all the information one needs to set up their own MSM television news network. :)

Just wait until SS and Medicare are cut. The seniors can and will create a ruckus.

Government of the Government, by the Government, for the Government.

The legal system, from the supreme court, DOJ, and FBI has proven itself deaf or complicit. (Comey rule: Protect the democrats and illegal activity and show no loyalty to the Constitution or to the law). There is voter fraud anytime people have the courage to audit. The people have no voice. Historically, these end in purges. I hope the SCOTUS justices, DOJ and FBI lawyers are listening and manage to open their history books. Like the kindling in the California forest, all it takes is a spark.

The SCOTUS should have accepted the original jurisdiction case of Texas versus the states that violated their own legislatures voting laws. That was the opportunity to save it all, to ensure free and fair elections.
