North Korea pushes 'delicious' BLACK SWAN meat and claims it is 'exceptional health food' a day after warning starving citizens they will have to eat less food until 2025 when borders reopen

The move comes a day after leader Kim Jong Un warned North Koreans that they must expect to eat less food until the country re-opens its borders with China in 2025.

'Black swan meat is delicious and has medicinal value,' while the bird's industrial breeding will 'improve the people's living standard', the state-run Korean Central News Agency reported.

A researcher from the country's agriculture ministry told KCNA in 2020 that the black swan meat has more protein than other meats and is easier to digest, adding that it also has 'anticancer' properties.

Despite the current hardships the North Korean people are facing, their leader Kim Jong Un has been continuing to push the idea of self-reliance this year.

This message was further encouraged in July when then Central Committee instructed the public to begin growing their own crops in anticipation of shortages.

LOL!, Commies ask for self reliance as a solution to commie failures. Maybe some hope for the DPRK yet.

And right on cue, Psaki says the root problem of our supply chain woes is our own spending.

I see these geese all over the place and I wonder if they are as delicious as they look?

I know someone who actually tried it and said it was really greasy, But I know you have to cook them low and slow for a very long time to drip all that grease off.

If you are ever faced with a NK food starvation situation, remember that lawn grass can be eaten by humans BUT you have to be careful as some grasses contain cyanide. Many lawns have had pesticide, fungicide and herbicides applied. Also there is JUST ABOVE ZERO nutrition.

Far better to grow bean sprouts. They can be grown in a closet (ie hidden), take less than a week to harvest, provide more nutrition than grass.

At least Kim warns his people of shortages. In America we needed to figure out on our own Biden would screw things up in just half a year.

Are we talking about the same geese? The ones who hang around public parks and waterways crapping all over?

Those retention ponds are a great draw for the geese. In one ritzy area in a suburb of Rochester, the "elite" tenants complained. They have tried fences, dogs, horns, lights....the geese seem to love them all. ROTFLMAO...So much for being wealthy....

Plenty of cornfields to hunt them west of Rochester.

Our church has a big retention pond that the geese love. I used to take my two golden retrievers there and chase them off, but in a day they’re back.

The same birds but neither ducks nor geese are “greasy”, as youve said, its in the preparation.

Ducks and geese have a thick layer of fat under the skin of the neck, breast (down to the vent) and all around the tail. This whole area needs to be thoroughly pricked full of holes (No, more. More than that. Do it again.) before roasting to release the fat, which is saved for other uses, and crisp up the skin.

This tendency in geese to develop thick layers of fat was specifically breed for in domestic strains especially those like the dewlap toulouse. With pigs we historically bred for more lard, cows for higher butter fat, and geese for ganzfett or “schmalz”. Wild geese obviously arent intentionally bred for this but its still up to the cook to render out the side product during preparation.
