If all else fails, you can always turn to the good old fashioned guilt trip, Fish joked. That’s what worked with his father. Around the time of Fish’s birthday, Fish told his parents he wanted his father to get vaccinated so he could go visit them. It worked and his dad got the jab.

And this is the data from the referenced Pew study:

Like many Americans, I assumed the religiously unaffiliated to be more progressive. Statistically, the less religious tend to lean left and left-leaning Americans are more likely to be vaccinated.

These statements are the stupidity of the left on full display. There is no stupidity quite as deep as smug stupidity.

I have run across several parents where this has been the case. If your children feel like they can treat you like a small child while you still have your full mental faculties, you screwed up raising them.

My children know better than to try manipulating me.

Of course, I didn’t raise any arrogant atheist punks either.

Gee, there is a whole lot more data on this than there is on the VAERS data base.

Nick looks like a really happy guy.

Bentonville? Right there in NW Arkansas. Bentonville schools? Real wholesome guy that nick. Wonder what else he does?

With respect to the classifications mentioned in this article, I’m uncertain into which class I fall. My religious affiliation is “The Church Of The Bathroom Mirror” — which falls outside of all the known religious clans I know about. (Word to the wise: never join the Worship Committee in a church — you’ll be shocked by the sausage being made there.)

The one question they will never answer is “Why is it necessary to get 100% vaccination coverage for a disease that is for the most part harmless unless you’re down to the last six months of your lifespan?”.

My father in law guilted my wife to get the jab so we could visit them in the nursing home. I didn’t know she was going to get it until she already did. I didn’t get it and was able to visit with no difference in visiting rights. If she has issues, he better hope he dies before then.

I sense a theme here......

Secular? You don’t take the vax because it doesn’t make the slightest sense to you to take a vax that is not really a vaccine. That is rushed thru and not vetted out. That treats a disease which you are not in the slightest afraid of. That has been lied about and mis characterized from jumpstreet. Sheesh.

"Universal vaccination" is not universal vaccination, when large parts of the globe are not vaccinated.

Unless the vaxxtards consider these unvaccinated continents and countries to be on a separate planet, where they won't infect the universally vaccinated countries.

Which is why we look at them as vaxxtards.

- As for secular people who “don’t want to bow to COVID,” Fish said that pointing out that the vaccine is a way to beat the virus, not bow to it, could be effective. -

VIDEO: 6m33s: 4 Oct updated 6 Oct: Fox News: ‘Ingraham Angle’ on teachers fighting vaccine mandates
INGRAHAM: Dr. Bhattacharya, I know you filed an affidavit in this case. What was your point?

DR. JAY BHATTACHARYA, STANFORD PROFESSOR OF MEDICINE: Well, many of these employees, the workers, teachers, they’ve worked through the epidemic, many of them have immunity derived from - recovering from natural infection. A mandate that doesn’t acknowledge the scientific fact that they’re that they’re immune is not scientifically based...

INGRAHAM: Michael, have you had to get a rubella booster lately or a smallpox booster or? I don’t think so. It’s a little different, don’t you think?

(MICHAEL KANE, TEACHER PROTESTING VAX MANDATE): I think that’s a really good point. There has never been a vaccine requirement to teach New York City public schools. In New York state that has not been there at all. Also, with these COVID vaccines, ***they do not provide sterilizing immunity. The comparison between a COVID vaccine and an MMR shot is kind of ridiculous. You can compare the COVID vaccine much more to the flu shot, which generally is choice of if you want to take the flu shot or if you don’t want to take the flu shot.
It’s actually scary when we see people like the good doctor who I’m so glad to see on the show with me here today, taken out of the debate, and this becomes far more political than it becomes about science. It’s actually a very frightening thing...

DR. JAY BHATTACHARYA, STANFORD UNIVERSITY EPIDEMIOLOGIST: I think it makes no sense to mandate it. This should be a choice that parents make in conjunction with consultation with their doctors just we do with many, many other treatments.
Making this forced mandated, essentially what it’s done is breed distrust in public health. And frankly even in the other vaccines, the vaccine movement, the movement that was against vaccines was a tiny fringe movement before this. By these coercive measures, they have taken that movement and turned it into a much larger movement. It’s actually damaging to public health, damaging the children, because it has bred distressed. I don’t really understand the push behind it, especially for kids. The risk from COVID, the harm from COVID is so low, to mandate the vaccines, as was just said, ***it’s not a sterilizing vaccine, unlike the MMR vaccine, which is. It’s very, very different, and to treat it as if it were the same, I think Dr. Fauci is conflating things intentionally in order to get his way rather than just acknowledging a basic scientific facts...

28 Aug: Wentworth Report: Mass Vaccination Delays Herd Immunity and Risks Greater Damage Unless a Sterilizing Vaccine Can Be Found
By Geert Vanden Bossche, who earned his PhD degree in Virology from the University of Hohenheim, Germany
(He has worked for several vaccine companies (GSK Biologicals, Novartis Vaccines, Solvay Biologicals) to serve various roles in vaccine R&D as well as in late vaccine development.
He also joined the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Global Health Discovery team in Seattle (USA) as Senior Program Officer before working with the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI) in Geneva as Senior Ebola Program Manager. At GAVI he tracked efforts to develop an Ebola vaccine. He also represented GAVI in fora with other partners, including WHO, to review progress on the fight against Ebola and to build plans for global pandemic preparedness.
He then joined the German Center for Infection Research in Cologne as Head of the Vaccine Development Office.)

it’s as if ex-NYT writer, Katherine J. Wu, felt the need to try to shoot down the Bossche/Wentworth piece ASAP!

10 Sept: The Atlantic: We’re Asking the Impossible of Vaccines
Complete protection against infection has long been hailed as the holy grail of vaccination. It might simply be unachievable.
By Katherine J. Wu
(at bottom of article: The Atlantic’s COVID-19 coverage is supported by grants from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation)
o modern immunologists, the phenomenon is known as sterilizing immunity, the ability to “totally prevent infection,” Taia Wang, an immunologist at Stanford University, told me. The measles vaccine is still often held up as its paragon.

No infection means no disease, no death, and no transmission, the absolute immunological trifecta. It’s why sterilizing immunity has often been framed as a “holy grail,” what researchers aim for when they’re designing their shots, says David Martinez, a vaccinologist at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. But sterilizing immunity also has been a source of trouble. Some people hoped the COVID-19 vaccines could achieve sterilizing immunity, especially after reports in the winter and spring trumpeted the jabs’ surprising power at preventing infections—enough that the CDC told vaccinated people they could shed their masks in May. Then sterilizing immunity came back to bite us, when breakthrough infections began to pop up among the immunized, prompting fear and confusion among those who’d been certain that the vaccines alone could quash the coronavirus’s spread.

COVID-19 vaccines were never going to give us sterilizing immunity; it’s possible they never will. But the reason isn’t just their design, or the wily nature of the virus, or heavy and frequent exposures, though those factors all play a role. It’s that sterilizing immunity itself might be a biological myth...

Perhaps it’s more useful, Yonatan Grad, an epidemiologist at Harvard, told me, to understand the ideal of sterilizing immunity as just that—an ideal, rather than a practical goal, like the unattainable end of an asymptote...

Eventually, all discussions about sterilizing immunity become nerdy quibbles over semantics...
