Chilling new details about Alec Baldwin’s fatal movie mishap emerged Monday — from the on-set medic who futilely tried to help save cinematographer Halyna Hutchins’ life.
“Are we rehearsing?” medic Cherlyn Schaefer asked after hearing an unexpected “loud shot” on the set of the Western film “Rust” on Thursday, according to an injury report she filed and which was reviewed by the Wall Street Journal.
“Because ‘fire in the hole’ was not called,” Schaefer said.
Schaefer then heard someone say “medic emergency,” and she dashed to the part of the set where filming was supposed to start up again after lunch, the Journal said.
There, she found Hutchins, 42, with a gunshot wound to the torso.
Schaefer ordered crew members to apply pressure to the cinematographer’s injury and call 911, then checked for the victim’s vital signs and began to give her oxygen through a mask while waiting for EMTs to arrive at the scene, the report said.
Hutchins was taken to UNM Hospital in Albuquerque, where she was pronounced dead.
Schaefer wrote, “something was shot from a prop gun” on the section of the medic’s report that asked for a “detailed cause” of the incident.
Alec Baldwin in Rust Alec Baldwin was inadvertently given a real loaded gun. Instagram The tragic shooting came after Baldwin was inadvertently given a real loaded gun by Assistant Director David Halls, according to a search warrant obtained by the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office. The weapon was supposed to have blanks in it.
Halls, rookie movie-set armorer Hannah Gutierrez Reed and Baldwin were all known to have handled the weapon before the fatal shooting, according to the warrant.
According to the warrants, Baldwin was rehearsing a scene where he was due to pull the gun while sitting in a church pew and point...

“They always — that I know of — they check it so you can see,” said the “Goodfellas” star. “They give it to the person you’re pointing the gun at. They do it to the producer. They show whoever is there that it doesn’t work.”
This is what Alec will be remembered for.
Ray Liotta has done quite a few movies with guns.
that and a few angry phone calls
Why, gee, looks like arec ballwin is the real victim here./s
The questions are, why was there a live rounds on the set? Who purchased the ammo and brought it to the set? All six chambers of gun were probably loaded. Were five blanks and one live round, and that one chambered to be first fired?
Nationwide the same union is in contract negotiations with producers and they have voted to strike if they don’t get what they want. Their main beefs are long working hours and
job safety. Could a disgruntled union worker have loaded the live round to scare the producers?? I believe a thorough and honest investigation will reveal that to be the case. What say ye??
The “on-set medic” had to wait for the EMTs to arrive? She wasn’t even a certified EMT herself? Did she have ANY qualifications to be hired as a “medic”?
“Baldwin was rehearsing a scene where he was due to pull the gun while sitting in a church pew and point...”
You miss a lot of trouble just by not being a lowlife. John Wayne wouldn’t have agreed to a scene of him shooting someone in a church.
Leftwinger Lorne Michaels was stupid for having Alec Baldwin play Trump instead of Darryl Hammond.
The new details look like the old details.
The inexperienced woman running the guns let people go play and recreationally shoot with them after hours. And she took a lot of selfies too! She kept the live ammo there with the blanks and the guns.
No live ammo should ever be on a set.
INDUSTRY STANDARD
Safety demonstrations are done with all cast and crew involved in firearm stunts who are instructed that prop weapons should never be pointed at another actor or crew member. In scenes where a weapon is pointed and aimed at the camera ballistic shields are used.

What kind of sicko writes this tripe?
Can Baldwin find any other ways to shake his fist at G_d and shout?
Most nurses may start out in an ER but don't stay there due to the stress involved. And relatively few EMTs become full time nurses.
At the higher levels, nursing is more about following paperwork than saving lives - thankfully there are many exceptions.
Most of us know that in the hospital we listen to our doctors but obey our nurses.
“No live ammo should ever be on a set.”
That is strange. Why have live ammo?
They were so reckless. So stupid. Kinda like children playing cowboy.
I think it’s pretty clear from his track record that bad things happen around Alec Baldwin.
