The questions are, why was there a live rounds on the set? Who purchased the ammo and brought it to the set? All six chambers of gun were probably loaded. Were five blanks and one live round, and that one chambered to be first fired?

Nationwide the same union is in contract negotiations with producers and they have voted to strike if they don’t get what they want. Their main beefs are long working hours and
job safety. Could a disgruntled union worker have loaded the live round to scare the producers?? I believe a thorough and honest investigation will reveal that to be the case. What say ye??

Leftwinger Lorne Michaels was stupid for having Alec Baldwin play Trump instead of Darryl Hammond.

The inexperienced woman running the guns let people go play and recreationally shoot with them after hours. And she took a lot of selfies too! She kept the live ammo there with the blanks and the guns.

No live ammo should ever be on a set.

Good gawd, have you not been paying attention?

The set workers were playing with guns after hours doing target practice. That’s why live rounds were on the set. They were in a remote location and thought it would be cool to shoot guns.

There’s been no mention of who provided the live rounds but evidently, some got left in the gun that the asst director chose for Baldwin and neither the armorer, asst, director or Baldwin checked the gun(s).

All three are at fault plus whoever left the rounds in the gun.

Baldwin as co-producer so he is at the top for being responsible for how things ran on the set and he was also the last line of defense as the one pulling the trigger.

Were the union folks on set at the time? The armorer, the AD., and Baldwin each should/could have checked the weapon. I’m going with irresponsible armorer, target shooting by cast/crew in spare time...alcohol was probably involved...and sloppy enforcement of safety protocols. Live ammo stored with the weapons? Really? The pistol was selected from 3 and handed eventually to Baldwin. What was chambered in the other two? We’re there other live rounds in the death pistol?

I’m not discounting the union thing entirely. Just wondering if they had opportunity.

“The questions are, why was there a live rounds on the set? Who purchased the ammo and brought it to the set?”

Incorrect. The only question is “who pulled the trigger?”
