Surveillance video shows a retired U.S. Marine taking a gun away from an alleged armed robber who entered a Yuma, Arizona, convenience store early Wednesday morning.
CBS 13 reports that the incident occurred in a Chevron gas station when three suspects entered the store, one of whom was allegedly armed.
The retired USMC, who was near the counter when the suspects walked in, immediately turned on the alleged armed suspect and took away his gun.
FOX 8 notes that the former USMC was able to detain the suspect after disarming him, but the other two suspects fled the scene.
Upon being interviewed by sheriff’s deputies, the former USMC said, “The Marine Corps taught me not to [mess] around.”

Thanks, jj!
I’m just a lowly US Army combat medic who served years ago. God bless the USMC.
> Has the marine been arrested yet and charged with illegal possession of a firearm?
In Yuma? I think he gets to keep the gun.
Thanks!

but gotta do a Wash!
I split my time between SW Texas and DC. In heaven, if your plumbing breaks you fix it yourself because there is no one around to do it for you. In the other it's a constitutional crisis. In the other place our neighbors on the neighborhood blog are all whining about the gunfire and lack of public safety and how come DC has gone to hell in a hand basket even though defunding the police is a desireable action. In heaven one of my "neighbors" a good mile way or so lets off a couple of clips from a terrorist assault gun every few days just for practice. When I hear it I smile knowing that the reports are reminding any miscreants that someone has a gun and knows how to use it. In the other place only criminals have GUNZ because the idiot voters are skeert of them - you can't have bullets, what happens if your house blows up?
So excuse my sarcasm about this.
And God Bless Medics and Corpsmen! You guys are the true heroes to many!
Welcome home, brother!
Semper Fi!
Fast left hand on that marine.
Notice he pushed gun so that it was no longer pointed at him.
The perp got so close that the marine could reach the gun,
