How does a Great Reset get accomplished?
American Thinker ^ | 21 Oct, 2021 | Brian Parsons

It looks sort of like what we're seeing all around us now.

Can’t they see what is going on? I ask this question daily when I wake up and the normies around me pretend that if we jump through our designated hoops, life will go back to normal, only a new normal. The term typically used to describe that which shall not be mentioned is the elephant in the room. The Great Reset is that elephant.

What is the Great Reset? It is a global campaign to consolidate control over economies and governments under a single umbrella, and it's on the agenda. Under the guise of addressing the pandemic, or climate change, or inequality, or any other number of maladies, the public is sold the only workable solution: the Great Reset.

Last week, my family and I went by a local fast food joint for dinner at 7 P.M. on a Saturday. The kitchen was so backed up that they had to close the dining room and cut off food orders while we were inside. The fast-casual restaurant next door was already closed at 5 P.M. I'm not an expert in the restaurant industry, but I did do a tour of waiting tables while in college, and I know that closing a restaurant at dinner time on a Saturday due to labor shortages is a very bad thing. These labor shortages are pervasive across hourly wage establishments.

Our current labor predicament didn't arise from nowhere. This labor shortage could happen in a market with maximum employment, which we saw during the Trump administration. Contrived lockdowns due to the pandemic saw Mom and Pop shuttered while the essential labor base was abused by overworking and underpaying. Those who were on the cusp of retirement,

Restaurants are relatively new to this issue. The four local hospital in my area have had chronic worker shortages going back a decade. Oh, and they pay very well.

“There are no labor shortages. Only wage shortages.”

Agreed

Why work for shiite wages when that second job, or spouse job is for pennies? Another car. Childcare. Missed time with family.

Folks are simply choosing the better path.

And don’t tell me about that fabulous job with great pay you have. If it was worth what you are paying, somebody would take it.

Don’t worry BoomerCon Biz Bosses, your Afghani and Border Crossing Somalis are almost ready to be hired.

When the economy finally crashes, chaos will ensue. That’s why they need to control the military and fill it with a bunch of wokesters who have no idea what right and wrong is. The military will need to crack down on it’s own citizens. The Posse Comitatus Act be damned. Biden will use whatever means necessary.

There is no Great Reset.. just lunatics voted in charge by idiots. If you believe this BS then you have to believe China and Russia are working with the US and every other nation and you may as well take the Jab and fall inline.

"There are no labor shortages. Only wage shortages."

But paying competitive wages would hurt the bottom line profit. (sarcasm or not?)

And that’s encouraging.

We do not stand alone even if it feels like it sometimes.

“There are no labor shortages. Only wage shortages.”

I saw this a sarcassm...

In a capitalistic system, the economy drives the wages. This sounds just like a liberal talking point.

There are great jobs and great paying jobs available. Outside of the government creating the problem there are a shxtload of high paying jobs available.

There’s also a lot of people being forced from those jobs because of the vax mandate BS. What we need is people taking those jobs vice the scum sucking off the government and demanding high paying jobs and doing nothing.

That is actually not correct.

We do not have a free labor market.

Wages are driven by PUBLIC SECTOR unions negotiating with government officials thereby producing extremely generous contracts because no one at the table represents the payee - us, the taxpayer.

In turn, private unions piggyback on the wage and benefit inflation.

The teacher's union is our largest political donor and look how much they are compensated for their meager efforts - especially under CoVid.

Comfort in a Psalm from David. In the end we will have victory as the Lord will strike down evil.

Psalms 37

1 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

4 Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

Maranatha

Wages hurt profits far less than TAXES!

They teach us to hate businesses but government (and the FED) are the true slave-masters.

These "labor shortages" seem to be prevalent in industries that have come to rely on a steady supply of cheap part-time labor. In that scenario, it seems logical that these industries wouldn't even exist in a "normal" labor environment because many establishments would go out of business if they had to pay competitive wages. Food service and retail trade are prime examples of this.

When I was a kid we may have had gone out to eat maybe 2-3 times in a typical year. Now many people do it 2-3 times per WEEK (if not more).

The seeds of the “great reset” were planted more than 100 years ago when the U.S. ceased to be a sovereign nation and transformed itself into an empire. It’s no accident that so many of the most destructive characteristics of our modern economy can be traced back to a brief period in the early 20th century when the continental U.S. was fully settled and there was no longer a frontier for expansion.
