Right now there are four Mexican gents fixing my carport roof. I am amazed by the work ethic shown by these four men, they don’t chit chat, they don’t stand idle and smoke, they just work. My roof is going to get done today, weeks ahead of schedule by four men who barely speak any English. The jobs were there and they saw an opportunity and I hope they get paid well for their labors.
For the record I’m 60 with health issues and had to hire this job out, I’m not lazy, just grateful there are still hard working men in this country.
I just needed carpets replaced. Fast. Legal Mexican immigrants did the job and did it well. The hardwood floors were resurfaced by two Americans. Awesome job. My point? We take the services that we can get when we need them and we are finding Americans are sitting out and are unavailable.
I had my roof replaced by a team of Mexicans. Excellent job.
All in all, perhaps two dozen roofs were replaced, by three different companies, and every single roofing crew consisted exclusively of what I assume to be Mexicans.
These crews were very efficient and almost always knocked out a full tear-off and roof replacement in less than a full day.
No he/she isnt....he has health issues lighten up.
We used to have Americans do my mom’s yard... then they fired them and hired surly hispanics who knocked over flags. Them, Trump came in, and the company said they could not do our yard anymore...
Unless I'm mistaken you've violated Federal law by not confirming their right to work in the US.
Don’t listen to the cranks..
Anyone using imported 3rd worders, well, KMA.
You have no way of knowing that.
We had a house in Indiana that needed a roof, super hot and humid day and the guys, of some possible Central American heritage worked hard and the job was excellent
Legal or illegal? If the latter, you should be prosecuted and hope the job is an utter failure, that they end up suing you for injuries, and you lose everything. If they are legal, why the expression of bias and bigotry against Americans?
You have no way of knowing that.
Hwy Louis Kiss My American A$$.
Sounds like a song.
BS!
We have a new house being built across the street.
Almost all of the roof sheeting was on as of last Friday.
All day Sunday I heard pounding from the work site and it was a white roofer, US citizen I presume, working on the roof underlayment.
We had 11” of snow in the next 24 hours. The roofer got a bit ahead of the weather.
He took the day off Monday (was snowing) and most of the day yesterday he was shoveling snow off of the sheeting...
That’s a work ethic.
We get the ‘hispanic’ roofers here in the summer but they don’t do the snow...
No I didn’t.
I called a local Power Washing company.
Who they send over is not my problem.
I don’t know their status, you’d have to ask Honest Abe Roofing, I can only judge by what I see and what I see are for MEN working very hard on a roof doing what appears to be a great job so far.
