Four Mexicans are Fixing My Roof

Right now there are four Mexican gents fixing my carport roof. I am amazed by the work ethic shown by these four men, they don’t chit chat, they don’t stand idle and smoke, they just work. My roof is going to get done today, weeks ahead of schedule by four men who barely speak any English. The jobs were there and they saw an opportunity and I hope they get paid well for their labors.

For the record I’m 60 with health issues and had to hire this job out, I’m not lazy, just grateful there are still hard working men in this country.

Our roof shingles were damaged by hail this spring. We called the guy who built the place and he appeared two weeks later with an all-Mexican crew.

13 guys tore off the shingles and underlayment and put on new in one 13 hour day.
The job is perfect.

No Americans hereabout to do this work.
Where are they ?

They get housing assistance, EBT cards, health care, education and a myriad of other services on the taxpayers dime. That’s so the contractor can stuff his pockets and you think you’re getting a deal. Deport them.
