New Shepard’s 18th mission, NS-18, will lift off on Wednesday, October 13, carrying four astronauts, Dr. Chris Boshuizen, Glen de Vries, Audrey Powers, and William Shatner, to space and back.
It’s 40 minutes or so from now, but Blue Origin often has holds that extend it.
NS-18 should have been re-designated NCC-1701
Yes, the first suborbital flights were considered space flights.
IF they don’t pull any more holds, they should launch around 7:25-30am PDT.
As they’re showing the inside of the Rivian, it seems like Shatner isn’t moving, just staring straight ahead.
It’s kinda weird.
He’s nervous, said he was scared not long ago on Twitter. I would be too.
They’re climbing the tower. I wonder if he can make it....no elevator.
Shatner is now in the capsule.
“Astronaut Lemley”???
Why that callsign for Shatner?
I thought they said ‘lovely’ or something. The host said it’s for his family or something, dunno.
The Door is closed
And Bezos himself closed the door.
Like I said on another thread, you know DAMNED well know that Bezos wants everything to go well. Can you imagine him being known as the man that killed Capt. Kirk?
Shatner climbed the whole tower steps to the capsule.
Shatner still has that Shatner Walk and no cane ,WOW
Shatner’s call sign should be Captain Dunsel.
I’m watching this on the Discovery channel and find it funny that their SpaceLaunchLIVE logo has a SpaceX Dragon capsule.
I get it...I get it!
Is this the same penis they always use ?
Yes it is.
may the force be with him.
