Two suppliers are competing for the tender, and the choice is between Leopard 2A7 from German Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) and K2 Black Panther from South Korean Hyundai Rotem.
The outgoing government has not set aside money for new tanks in the proposed state budget, but the signing of the contract is planned for 2022. The new tanks will not be delivered until 2025 at the earliest.

K2 Black Panther
Tanks a lot!
They could get any number of tanks from Afghastlystan for peanuts, thanks to Feels Up and Co.
Doh! When I opened this thread it was for the purpose of saying PRECISELY that. You beat me to it! Tanks for nuttin’!
Note to self: declare war on Norway in 2024.
That would be Feels Up and Heels Up...

5.56mm
I think the 2A7 has better ground clearance. Wouldn't that be a positive factor in a place like Norway?
Feels Up and Heels Up......I like it.
We’re talking a total of 52 tanks.....
I submitted my entry, The Herring.
No armor….no engine…..no main gun…..
Kind of looks like some roller skates.
Lower shipping on the Leopard.
