When President Joe Biden recently announced his “House America ” program to address homelessness, California Gov. Gavin Newsom was delighted. After all, it represented a continuation of California’s "housing first" approach to homelessness....

In June, the Biden administration quietly removed this report from the government websites housing it.....
Why would Biden and House Democrats want to hide this report? That's easy: because it revealed that "housing first" is a failure....

I suppose it never occurred to the geniuses in government that homelessness isn’t housing problem, but a drug and mental health crisis.
Need to cut of the free stuff. Reinstitute the depression era CCC, put these bums to work cleaning out underbrush on federal land. Teach them a trade such as carpentry, plumbing, masonry, etc. the physical labor and fresh air will do a body good.
Exactly, the homeless people I know have 50 or 60 different problems. And homelessness is just one of them.
And, the very worst thing you can do is give them money. If they get a government check, they go on a 3 day bender and end up face down in a ditch.
Agree. Here’s a better solution, Mary’s Mercy Center in San Bernardino. It is a 12-24 month structured program that requires a lot of work by the homeless individuals. Worth the 7 minute view. BTW, I’ve volunteered for over 20 years with Father Mike. God bless.

What an awesome concept. That’s what the government should do a test program on and emulate.
I’ve seen the success over 20 plus years of volunteering with them. God is a part of the solution so the government has a limitation there. :)
I know this is probably a dead thread.
I live near a small town of maybe 5000 named Corydon. Saw something (last night) I never expected to see there. A homeless guy sitting on a bench. He was a black man, had his wal-mart bags, assorted stuff in a shopping cart. It was at a Xmas fair and was chilly outside. I had a jacket on and was walking fast and was getting cold….
I can’t help but notice Joe Biden is the POTUS, and has been for near a year. I never saw homeless there before. Maybe a sheer coincidence.
Yet I think of the open border. 2 MILLION illegals coming in this year. Usually younger and hungrier than our poor, they take jobs, medical services, schools..etc. They use up the available housing.
I think it’s the Dems fault..call me partisan and crazy but I do.
