A friend sent me this video. He also happens to be a medium sized employer and after watching this he said he would NEVER hire a Harvard MBA.
I was wondering if any Freepers would have the same attitude?
Take a Seat in the Harvard MBA Case Classroom
Great quote!
Harvard, MIT, Yale, and especially Columbia.
Especially, if they graduated after 2008.
In general, I have spent my entire working career cleaning up after these MBA’s came in and destroyed businesses with their ideas.
Look at Boeing, they were run by Engineers and built a great plane, replace them with Bean Counters and you get the disastrous 737max...
"Technology is dominated by two types of people: those who understand what they do not manage, and those who manage what they do not understand." ~ Putt's Law
I retired recently, and from what I’ve observed over a long career it is the rare exception when a C-level executive actually got to where they are based on true merit. Some of the most mediocre people are running companies today, and it’s even worse now because the price of entry to the C-suite today is your demonstrated level of “wokeness.” Corporate governance has become nothing but an exclusive club of morons with used car salesman personalities, all parroting the required woke jargon.
Thank you for the feedback.
They can shove their “ideas” you know where.. :)
1, Now add in the “some aspect”
2. It’s like college kids that get jobs with the big consulting firms. What exactly will they be able to consult on? They just got out of college and don’t know sh*t.
3. These MBA & Wall St types are responsible for 1000s losing their jobs every year. Fire as many as they can until the company is barely running. Then tell the ones that are left, if they don’t like it they’ll find someone that will gladly take their spot. That’s corporate America today. I could detail that exact thing with regards to CSX Railroad but I won’t.
This is just astounding. Nobody asks the question “How did he or she die?” before they start chiming in with their “solutions”. They sound like they are in Jr High.
Notice how all the students have a “Home Region”? Globalist claptrap.
A Harvard MBA program is filled with greedy people who could not get into Harvard undergrad. MBA programs are easier to get into. You have to have someone pay for it. And its far more expensive for a one or two year program. You are not so much being educated as you are buying a $250,000 resume and being paraded in front of companies that Harvard charges to hire their MBAs. Its a business all around. Greed is everywhere.
Ah, makes sense in the current world. Gonna take more than that to give most HBS MBAs a conscience or a heart, however.
Why are you seeking to distort the obvious?
This is just a misuse of Harvard. You don’t study at Harvard to learn about business. You study at Harvard to make connections and get the diploma. You learn about business anywhere else. Put the two together and off you go.
The idiotic, leftist mentality to “shut down an entire mine if it can save one life in the future” mentality will end with us all starving to death in a decade.
You are close, but the professor really doesn’t even discuss capitalism or much about creating a product with value and making a profit.
Granted it is only a 10 minute video, but the content is a bunch of nothingness when it comes to business.
Is that what I'm doing?
Here I thought I was just ragging on some fan-boy who claims to be the author of something that he is not.
My uncle earned a Harvard MBA back in the late 1950s. In those days, it was actually worth something. And he got in through an entrance exam.
“You study at Harvard to make connections and get the diploma.”
That is such a waste of a young person’s mind and time. Do they want to grow up and be someone like John Kerry or George Bush?
I was basically fired by HP one time after working there for about 2 years.....
The manager of the team I was working on or I thought I was working on got it all started, one day I get an email from a woman who told me all the things I was not doing as part of her team...I did not understand, so I asked who I thought was my Manager, who said, yeah I forgot to tell you she’s your manager....
After several more major disagreements with this woman who came from HR to manage a team of IT Engineers....
The final straw was I was working on a big project that I had just wrapped up, she called me and said I was failing at my job, my major screw up was not completing an online ethics training course...I told her I have until Friday to do that, she said that was true for everyone except her team which committed to completing the training a week early...
I asked her, what was more important, completing the project for the customer or the ethics training...she said the ethics training. Immediately I told her, she was not qualified to manage Engineers and needed to go back to HR..
I knew my days were numbered but at that point I did not care...
